Join our Statutory Audit team and you will help our clients meet their reporting requirements by providing an objective and independent examination of their financial statements, timely and constructive discussion with management on accounting and reporting matters, and a robust and clear perspective to audit committees. Job Summary: The role of an Audit: Senior Associate is to perform audit procedures in complex areas, while building technical competence and function as the primary day to day contact for the audit client. AKM Global Corp Advisors is growing, and we need an experienced, motivated, and dedicated Audit & Assurance - Senior Associate with a background of strong public accounting & audit experience working under External Audits of US GAAP or IFRS or UK GAAP clients to join the team. This Senior Associate role is defined for you to be working with our member firms & clients in onshore. You shall be responsible for reporting to, working and coordinating & timely communicating with engagement teams by developing and exhibiting a command of audit techniques and methods, all while ensuring best business practices are in place with client satisfaction.


A successful Audit & Assurance: Senior Associate should:

  • Possess technical knowledge sufficient to work on an individual level in audit engagements, including coordinating workflow & tasks with clients/engagement teams; resolve intermediate to experienced audit, accounting, and client service issues; updating work papers and other products produced with utmost quality for engagement teams; and keep engagement progressing as planned and budgeted.
  • Possess significant knowledge on audit methodology and techniques in performing and assisting in external, internal, or statutory audits.
  • Take ownership for delivery of high-quality audit work. Develop self and others through engagement experiences.
  • Execution of fairly larger areas of an audit engagement from assisting in Planning to Risk Assessment to execution of substantive testing and working on test of details of significant accounts.
  • Demonstrate professional scepticism and compliance with our risk management and independence policies.
  • Start to build relationships across our client offerings and seek opportunities to work together.
  • Build strong credibility through displaying good insight and business acumen, applying technical competence, and engaging in relevant discussions with clients and engagement teams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with audit clients and engagement team.
  • Direct field work, inform engagement leaders of audit engagement status timely.
  • Complete audit procedures and documentation for higher risk areas to broaden your technical skills (e.g., revenue, expenses, PPE, financial instruments, and income taxes).
  • Contribute ideas/opinions to the audit teams.
  • Develop an understanding of AKM service offerings.
  • Prepare draft financial statements under US GAAP, IFRS, UK GAAP (FRS 102).
  • Ensure all work papers are complete, consistent, and contain procedures performed, evidence obtained, and conclusions reached with appropriate documentations.
  • Identify key issues facing clients and discuss possible solutions to increase quality and efficiency.
  • Develop a command of GAAP, GAAS, GAGAS** or UK GAAP or IFRS and any other common audit techniques.


To qualify, candidates must have:

  • A bachelor’s degree with minimum of 1-5 years of related work experience in a similar audit practice firm. Experience of working with Big 4 or Big 10 will be an advantage.
  • A degree in accounting, finance, or related field will be preferred. OR a graduate degree with approximately 1-5 years of related work experience in fields of statutory audits under US GAAP, UK GAAP, IFRS.
  • Experience in Accounts preparation under FRS 102 and relevant applicable standards will be an advantage.
  • Experience working on 401k - Employee Benefit Plans and Pension plans will be an advantage.
  • A qualified U.S. Certified Public Accounting (CPA) license or sufficient coursework to achieve US CPA certification in the US state of primary work location.
  • Experience in planning, execution and reporting on audits of financial statements prepared in accordance with US GAAP and US GAAS, IFRS UK GAAP.

**Job Overview:**
The Senior Planner uses McDermott's Planning/Scheduling discipline practices and knowledge of internal or external issues to improve the Planning/Scheduling discipline within McDermott. They will act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and share their conceptual and practical expertise related to the Planning/Scheduling discipline. They solve complex problems and use their discipline-specific knowledge to improve their products or services. The Senior Planner impacts a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities with the Planning/Scheduling team and other related teams and ensures that they are working within the appropriate guidelines and policies.
**Key Tasks and Responsibilities:**
+ Perform schedule analysis using Project Management software including Primavera P6, Deltek Fuse & Risk, and Microsoft Project
+ Support project baseline creation during the project initiation and setup phase
+ Facilitate detailed multi-discipline scope reviews
+ Provide project schedule support and mentor junior planners as required
+ Develop and maintain logically linked level 3 and level 4 activity schedules, for marine scope installation projects in the Oil and Gas Industry (pipelines, subsea, platforms, HDD), according to precedence flow planning, using best practices
+ Produce workforce histograms and progress and quantity curves in connection with the schedules
+ Maintain and review the sequence of Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Construction, Hook-Up, and Commissioning, and other operations for control of critical path and overall project durations
+ Elevate and expedite operations that are delaying the schedule and analyze changes to the schedule to meet unforeseen conditions
+ Create and Monitor schedule compliance, key performance, factors, and provide analysis of variations to baseline data
+ Identify factors, both current and potential, that may delay the schedule. Assess actions for recovery and improvement and analyze changes to the schedule to meet unforeseen conditions
+ Lead and deliver initiatives
**Essential Qualifications and Education:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Project Management/Engineering/Construction/Business Management or equivalent combinations of technical training or experience required
+ 7-10 years of EPCIC experience with Onshore or Offshore Oil and Gas or Power Generation related projects
+ Planning/Scheduling experience for Large LNG or Topside Fabrication projects preferred
+ Have solid commands of Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office software
+ Must be able to use advanced features in Excel (curves, histograms, dynamic tables, formulas, etc.)
+ Able to produce and maintain logically linked activity schedules, according to precedence flow in EPCIC planning, using best practices
+ Able to produce and assess progress curves, histograms, variance reports, and critical paths
+ Able to analyze project status and performance, deviations, performance factors, forecasts, and workarounds
+ Must be able to produce multidisciplinary logically linked activity schedules, according to precedence flow in planning, using best industry practices
+ Ability to effectively communicate with team members and management

**Job Overview:**

The Senior Accountant impacts a range of customers, operational, project, or service activities with the accounting team and other related teams and ensures that they work within the appropriate guidelines and policies.
**Key Tasks and Responsibilities:**
- Prepare various general ledger entries for month-end close.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliation and analysis.
- Preparation of documentation for external and internal auditors to assist in quarterly and year-end audit procedures.
- Coordinate with the area project team and finance departments to ensure smooth month-end close.
- Assist in accounting analysis and ad hoc projects, as needed.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Complete and submit all non-tax-related Government Reports.
- Support Financial Reporting Seniors in identifying process improvement opportunities.
- Provide cross-functional assistance to external financial reporting.
- Assist in the coordination and execution of internal financial reporting.
- Maintain automated financial statements and other financial reports.
- Participate in all aspects of the Global consolidation of the Company's operating entities through HFM (Hyperion Financial Management) reporting applications, including consolidation entries, foreign currency, intercompany transactions and reconciliations, and the elimination process.
- Analyze intercompany, clearing, and suspense accounts to ensure they are recorded and eliminated appropriately every month.
- Originate and process journal entries.
- Assist in implementing consolidation-related process improvement initiatives and prepare ad hoc financial analyses as required for management and in support of financial reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with external auditors in annual audits and quarterly reviews.
- Prepare stand-alone consolidated financial statements for regulatory or compliance requirements.
- Validate receipts through a relational database management system (Oracle).
- Work on database systems (SPM / Hexagon to Oracle) Integration project.
- Validate PO (Purchase Order) line coding.
- Validate legal entity in POs.
**Essential Qualifications and Education:**
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required, CPA preferred.
- Four-five (4-5) years of relevant experience.
- Effective communication and documentation skills, including the ability to interact effectively with various levels of staff and management.
- Motivated, self-directed, and results-driven approach to work, and takes ownership of assigned tasks
- Deadline oriented.
- Ability to work extended work hours as necessary for monthly closings.
- Excellent organizational skills and pay attention to detail, including neatness and organization of work papers.
- Effective in a dynamic environment, adapting to and managing change positively and proactively.
- Capable of establishing effective working relationships that promote teamwork and collaboration.
- Effective interaction with financial reporting, regulatory reporting, internal auditors, and external auditors.

What You’ll Do

GBR Fertility Centre, founded in 2005 is leading Fertility Centre in Chennai and South India. Over the past two decades it has played pivotal role in creating few 1000s of happy families across 15 plus countries. The centre is well know for its unique approach of managing infertility through advanced treatment options like personlised clinical management, genetics, surgical management apart from the regular reproductive management protocols, which include IUI, IVF, ICSI, etc. The dedicated team of clinicians supported by experienced technicians create an unique team at all its centres that are located at Chennai, Tirupathur and Nellore.


Role & Responsibilities:-

The Senior Accountant shall be based out of Chennai and shall be responsible for all the GBR Fertility Centres accounting and book keeping and the responsibilities shall include:-

  • Managing daily ledger, receipts, expenses, purchases, petty cash management and bank reconciliation.
  • Daily closure and monthly closure of books of accounts and submit MIS reports to the management daily, weekly and monthly, which shall include preparing of detailed unit wise EBIDTA analysis.
  • Ensure strict integrity and accuracy of book of accounts and shall assist the internal auditors and external auditors in ensuring timely filing of returns, statutory reporting, audit, etc.
  • Assist in taxation and regulatory filings, which shall include PF, ESI, GST, ITR ROC filings.


Qualification & Experience:-

  • Commerce graduate / post graduate / CA inter / Finance degree, etc.
  • Should have at least minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in managing, a mid sized reputed hospital in a similar role or zone / division in a large corporate hospital.
  • Should be well versed in Tally Prime, TDS, Tax Audits, GST, bank finalisation, preparing revenue projections, etc.
  • Should be well versed in any hospital management software and how reports are generated from the same for general accounting, purchase management, sales, returns management, etc.,
  • Should have good excel skills, including advanced skills like V look, Pivots, Aggregation, Formatting, Data visualisation, etc.
  • Should be team player with pleasing personality and good communication skills.
  • Should be willing to travel to other units of GBR as and when required.
