Functional Area: Sensors

Role and Responsibilities

  • Define system-level sensor architecture for Automotive and Non-Automotive segments.
  • Conduct feasibility analysis of sensor interfaces and designs based on customer needs and ISO 26262.
  • Create terminal/wiring harness diagrams with safety mechanisms (e.g., integrated coupler, case).
  • Perform system-level DFMEA and FTA.
  • Capture customer requirements and coordinate with hardware/software teams for implementation.
  • Design and integrate hardware/software interfaces, troubleshoot, and test components.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, product, and manufacturing teams for system integration.
  • Work with sensor element suppliers to select appropriate components and assist the purchase team with costing.
  • Conduct system-level testing and validation both on test benches and vehicles.
  • Research sensor technologies and applications; define product roadmap.
  • Prepare technical documentation and presentations.
  • Follow EMC/EMI design and validation practices.
  • Optimize sensor designs to meet BoM (Bill of Material) cost targets.
  • Plan and execute projects to meet delivery schedules.
