We at Coforge are seeking a “Server Maintenance Specialist ” with the following skill-set:
Key Responsibilities:
- Hardware level maintenance (root cause analysis & troubleshooting) of different servers' hardware components / IPMI level issues/failures.
- Monitoring of system health & Performance parameters and suggesting the maintenance activities proactively,
- Respond to and resolve help desk requests, Review system logs, knowledge of system vulnerabilities and security issues.
- Must be able to manage inventory and coordinate with OEMs and Vendors for resolving IT-related issues.
- Manage inventory of hardware components in EMS and ensure proper tracking, documentation & follow the defined change management processes (in EMS) in case of asset change/component change. Good Knowledge of Operating System, Bootup Processes, Server Architecture & Server Management.
- Manpower should be part of the O&M phase of the project.
- At least one Server Maintenance Specialist should have Linux/RedHat Administrator/LFCS at each data centre.
- Should be responsible for all the server activities at the data centre and DR-like installations, performance tuning activities, reporting, etc.
- Should work in 24*7 rotational shifts.
- Responsible for all server tickets & alert (for Server HW alerts) response/resolution time management.
- Manage OEM / Vendor ticket for all servers.
- Prepares and maintains weekly and monthly server reports.
- To ensure that servers, processes and methodologies as specified are followed to ensure effective monitoring, control and support of IT Service delivery.
- Make an escalation to the upper level related to all servers.
- SLA Management for all OEM/ Vendors.
- Server Specialist at DC will also look into server issues of DR in liaison with his DR team member.
