Position: L2 Network & Server Support Engineer
Experience: 3-4 Years

Location: Pune
Key Responsibilities:
Server & Infrastructure Management:
● Configuration server performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
● Manage and support physical and virtual server environments (e.g., VMware,
Hyper-V).
● Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software, and hardware.
● Troubleshoot server issues related to hardware, software, and network
configurations.
● Collaborate with L1 support and other IT teams to resolve complex issues.
Backup, Disaster Recovery & Data Protection:
● Perform regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for
data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
● Utilize and manage backup tools such as-
■ Veeam Backup & Replication for virtual, physical, and cloud workloads.
● Ensure backup integrity and perform regular test restores to validate disaster
recovery plans.
● Maintain documentation of backup configurations, schedules, and recovery
procedures.
Security & Compliance:
● Implement and maintain security protocols to protect network and server
infrastructure.
● Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
● Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
● Respond to security incidents and provide resolutions.
Documentation and Reporting:
● Maintain accurate documentation of network and server configurations,
processes, and procedures.

Requirements:
Education and Experience:
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
● 3-5 years of experience in network and server support, preferably in an L2
capacity.
Technical Skills:
● Strong understanding of network protocols, services, and standards (e.g., TCP/IP,
DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs).
● Experience with network hardware (e.g., Cisco, Juniper) and server platforms
(e.g., Windows Server, Linux).
● Proficiency in virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
● Knowledge of security practices and tools (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection
systems).
● Hands-on experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions, including
tools like Veeam.
Certifications:
● Relevant certifications such as CCNA, MCSA.
Soft Skills:
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
