**Introduction**:
Infrastructure Services is the organization which runs, builds and maintains the Bank's IT infrastructure. The B4 role translates to the EDI Informatica, AbInitio, DI tools Support position and is responsible for the delivery of EDI components within the project and ensuring BAU in BHS-EDI operations.

A technical IT infrastructure lead providing project, monitoring & EDI infrastructure delivery and/or live systems support into the Barclays BHS- EDI Informatica, AbInitio environments. The role provides exposure to leading edge software technology and underlying platforms operating mission critical services to the group.

**What will you be doing?**

The planning & implementation of all changes to the components of a live infrastructure, from request for change or project initiation through to deployment and review, to support the continued availability, effectiveness and risk compliance of the infrastructure.

To drive & pro-actively maintain or enhance computer systems/ infrastructure components and services, maximizing use of available resources to ensure that business objectives are met and deliverables achieved to agreed timescale, budget and quality.

To take responsibility for completing tasks, focusing on requirements and planning to meet client needs, which the job holder helps to identify, advise and recommend technical solutions based on experience and industry knowledge.

React quickly and as necessary to live systems errors and service problems to minimize downtime and restore service. Key focus will be required upon identification of root cause and implementation of permanent fix.
- Professional knowledge related to incumbent's position, team, and department. Requires ability to absorb professional knowledge quickly and develop skills.
- Draw upon professional concepts to collaborate with others to carry out assigned duties. Negotiation is required.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for ensuring IT infrastructure services are delivering on-time, on budget, and meeting functional and quality specifications.
  • Forecasts, manages, and reports on IT infrastructure services, managing deviations, issues, risks, problems and changes using appropriate and agreed upon processes and tools established within the company.
  • Handling IT service escalations by combining business impact judgment with effective technical assessment done by proper key subject matter experts.
  • Identifies resources needed to complete work and collaborates with resource manager(s) in order to assemble appropriate ad-hoc skilled teams.
  • Provides frequent dashboards and status reports, communicating to applicable executive leadership and key stakeholders.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills

  • Experience working in ITSM (ITIL) environments , being an advantage other experiences in Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid methodologies. ITIL Foundation v4 Certification is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites of products, (i.e. Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.). Experience managing ITSM ServiceDesk tools is an advantage.
  • Experience with multiple working streams and coordinating with enthusiastic, wide teams of 10 or more team members. All of them, with the ability to influence inside and outside of the organization at the highest levels to garner support. Large enterprise initiatives experience is an advantage.
  • Proven coordination experience including background in project management or service management with the ability of dealing with different roles and seniority levels.
  • Strong understanding of various technologies, focused on IT infrastructure (server, storage, networking), applications, cloud technologies, information security, and databases.
  • Experience in Network Area Storage, Asset Management, Capacity Management, Service Portfolio Management - SLA and OLA, understanding of cluster of severs, containers, etc
