Job Summary:
The Capsule Filling Operator will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining semi-automatic capsule filling machines used in pharmaceutical formulation manufacturing. The role involves ensuring accurate capsule filling, adherence to GMP standards, and maintaining batch documentation as per regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate and monitor semi-automatic capsule filling machines efficiently and safely.
* Ensure that all operations are carried out as per SOPs, GMP, and company quality standards.
* Perform machine setup, cleaning, and changeover activities as required for different batch productions.
* Check and verify raw material quantities, capsule shells, and powders before starting the batch.
* Record batch details accurately in BMR (Batch Manufacturing Record) and other relevant documents.
* Monitor the capsule weight, lock length, and fill consistency during operation.
* Report any machine breakdowns, deviations, or abnormalities immediately to the supervisor.
* Ensure proper cleaning, sanitization, and maintenance of the machine and surrounding area.
* Maintain hygiene and safety standards throughout the production process.
* Assist in periodic preventive maintenance of equipment and ensure readiness for operation.
* Follow all EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) norms of the company.
Knowledge:
* Understanding of pharmaceutical production processes and cGMP guidelines.
* Familiar with machine calibration and operation procedures.
* Basic understanding of documentation and record-keeping.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education: ITI / Diploma / B.Sc / B.Pharm or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
Experience: Minimum 2–5 years of experience operating semi-automatic capsule filling machines in a formulation manufacturing company.
