About the Role

As an Optical Product Test Engineer specializing in software automation, you will work on test automation and networking protocols. You will help validate complex systems at Layer 1 and Layer 2 using tools like Ixia and build Python based frameworks.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test cases in Python.
  • Perform functional, regression, and performance testing on Layer 1 and Layer network systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer with 5 to 8 years of experience to join our QA team in Bangalore . In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust UI test automation scripts using Cypress , as well as contributing to the quality assurance of our web applications through functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable automated UI test scripts using Cypress.io .
  • Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing of web-based applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test reports .
  • Identify, document, and help resolve bugs and UI issues by analyzing logs and collaborating with developers.
  • Contribute to the CI/CD process by integrating automated tests into build pipelines.
  • Participate in code reviews and help establish best practices in test automation.
  • Provide support for API testing and integration tests as needed.
  • Stay current with emerging testing tools and technologies to continuously improve testing practices.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5 to 8 years of overall experience in QA Automation , with at least 2+ years of hands-on experience with Cypress .
  • Strong programming skills in JavaScript or TypeScript for writing test scripts.
  • Experience with testing frameworks like Mocha , Chai , Jest , or similar.
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, DOM structure , and usage of browser developer tools .
  • Proficiency with Git and version control systems.
  • Exposure to CI/CD tools and workflows for automated test execution.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug frontend issues effectively.
