Job Summary

The Global Sourcing Analyst is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting procurement and supply chain data to support strategic sourcing decisions. This role includes managing supplier quoting processes, ensuring data accuracy, and optimizing supplier performance, cost savings, and procurement efficiency. The analyst will work closely with sourcing, finance, and operations teams to drive data-driven decision-making and enhance overall procurement strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and align sourcing strategies with organizational goals.
  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to achieve cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Monitor supplier performance and manage relationships to ensure high-quality and timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Analyze spend data and generate reports to track sourcing performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Support Sourcing Manager in NWC initiatives.
  • Analyzing market commodity prices and distributing data weekly.

  • Pursue inflation claw backs and other cost recovery initiatives.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify sourcing opportunities and trends.
  • Understand and document business processes, connecting actions to outcomes.
  • Assists with both regular and ad hoc reporting and data analyses.
  • Performs other responsibilities as assigned or required by the manager.

Basic Qualifications

  • Proven experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Ability to support the USA time zone and work well in a virtual team environment
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with good command of English language

    Job Overview

    TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.

    Responsibilities:

    The NPI Strategic Sourcing Analyst will focus on the following initiatives:

  • Focal point of all supply chain initiatives associated with NPI for specific product line. 
  • Develop & implement all integrated supply chain activities for New Product Introduction. 
  • Develop strategic vision for supply base at conception phase of new products.
  • Improve time to market including quotation and sampling activities, driving material standardization, 
  • Arrange RFQ, analyze and organize SSR meeting to award business based on cost, lead time, core competency, and location.
  • Ensure vendor quoted costs meet BOM cost Landing Zone targets. Work with cross functional team and should cost team to achieve the target.
  • Design first-time-right supply chains for new products / platforms during development phase
  • Work with commodity team to leverage supplier capabilities and improve collaboration among TE and supply base
  • Improve overall service from Procurement to Internal customer e.g. project managers and project core team member
  • Provide strong support for new project related sourcing activities.
  • Holds Voice of Customer Sessions with internal customers and utilizes feedback to improve team performance and supply base service. 
  • Complete special projects as directed by regional or global management.
  • Qualifications:

    • 6+ years’ experience in Procurement or project management role.
    • Proven Experience in New Product Introduction as a sourcing analyst in a global company is preferred
    • Education: Bachelor level degree in Business, Supply Chain, Sourcing/ Procurement or related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
    • Strong communication skills both written and verbal English.
    • Self-motivated individual with a positive attitude, able to work well with international teams and individuals, not afraid to push for change.
    • Strong analytical skills, comprehensive and logic thinking. 
    • Demonstrated negotiation skills.
    • Proficient in MS office suite; advanced Excel, Power point.
    • Lean PD experience is a plus.
    • Previous SAP experience is a plus.

    The Global Sourcing Analyst is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting procurement and supply chain data to support strategic sourcing decisions.
