Job Summary:

The Production and Sourcing Engineer will be responsible for coordinating production activities, developing vendor networks, and ensuring cost-effective procurement of components and materials. The role requires strong technical understanding to read and interpret engineering drawings, prepare Bills of Materials (BOM), and support continuous improvement and cost optimization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret engineering drawings and specifications for manufacturing feasibility.
• Prepare and maintain detailed Bills of Materials (BOM) for all projects and assemblies.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers for mechanical, electrical, and fabricated components.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and payment terms with suppliers to achieve cost reduction and timely delivery.
• Coordinate with production and design teams to ensure material availability as per project timelines.
• Monitor and track production schedules, ensuring adherence to quality and delivery targets.
• Conduct supplier performance reviews focusing on quality, delivery, and cost metrics.

• Support new vendor development and localization of imported components where feasible.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives in sourcing and production processes to optimize efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in production, sourcing, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience in cost analysis , vendor negotiation, and supplier management.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and standard procurement documentation.
• Good understanding of machining, fabrication, and assembly processes.
• Strong communication, coordination, and analytical skills.

Job Purpose:

The Strategic Sourcing Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing sourcing strategies for critical materials, components, and services. The role requires strong technical knowledge, cost analysis capabilities, and supplier management expertise to drive cost competitiveness, supply assurance, and innovation across the supply base.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Sourcing & Category Management

Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business goals and engineering requirements.

Identify, qualify, and develop suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and delivery objectives are met.

Drive supplier consolidation, risk mitigation, and long-term partnerships.

2. Cost & Value Engineering

Analyze cost structures and identify opportunities for cost reduction, localization, and value engineering.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, quality, manufacturing) for design-to-cost initiatives.

Conduct Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and Should-Cost analysis.

3. Supplier Management & Negotiation

Lead supplier negotiations for pricing, contracts, and long-term agreements.

Monitor supplier performance on quality, cost, delivery, and service (QCDS).

Implement supplier development programs and performance reviews.

4. Process & Compliance

Ensure sourcing activities are aligned with company procurement policies and compliance standards.

Manage RFQs, bid analysis, supplier selection, and contract finalization.

Maintain accurate sourcing documentation and reporting for audits and management reviews.

5. Market Intelligence & Risk Management

Track market trends, emerging technologies, and cost drivers.

Identify risks in the supply chain and implement mitigation strategies.

Benchmark best practices and continuously improve sourcing processes.

Key Skills & Competencies:

1. Strong technical knowledge of (relevant domain – electronics, mechanical, electrical, plastics, sheet metal, etc.).
2. Expertise in sourcing processes, cost modeling, and supplier negotiations.
3. Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/IFS), and sourcing tools.
4. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
5. Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
6. Ability to influence stakeholders and drive results under tight timelines.

Qualifications & Experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
2. 5-6 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing/engineering setup.
3. Exposure to global sourcing, supplier development, and cost reduction projects.
4. Knowledge of quality systems (ISO, APQP, PPAP) will be an added advantage.

Job Description:

• Evaluate Purchase Requisitions for accuracy and thoroughly understand the underlying requirements.
• Manage the sourcing activities, including RFx processes, comparative analysis, and vendor selection.

The Enterprise Strategic Sourcing team executes sourcing projects that accomplish the goals of both the organization and the business units they support. This position works closely with the sourcing manager and category manager in the Store Supplies/Facilities categories

Job Summary:

The primary purpose of this role is to partner with key areas of the Enterprise Strategic Sourcing team to execute sourcing projects that accomplish the goals of both the organization and the business units they support. This position works closely with the sourcing manager and category manager in the Store Supplies/Facilities categories (supplies, collateral and racking areas, specific to our retail and supply chain locations in USA) to executive a variety of sourcing techniques that include data and baseline analysis, RFx development and contract execution. Other key components of the role include contributing to continuous improvement activities, building relationships with the business and support teams, and supporting key initiatives for the organization. In addition to the sourcing responsibilities, this role will also support vendor management, procurement operations and catalog support for the business teams.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Core Responsibilities:

• Develops and executes RFPs, RFQs and RFIs, etc. as needed to support the business needs
• Develops baseline analysis and current conditions for sourcing events.
• Consolidates vendor bid sheets.
• Completes initial bid analysis for sourcing events.
• Initiates vendor outreach and develops vendor list for sourcing events.
• Sets up sourcing events using appropriate E-Sourcing tools and processes.
• Owns and updates ESS and business partners on sourcing project updates and status of initiatives.
• Negotiates, processes and executes vendor NDA's and Master Agreements, while adhering to financial policies and compliance requirements.
• Drafts and develops Statement of Work (SOWs) with the outline of technical requirements for sourcing projects and RFX events.
• Coordinates necessary documentation and process for vendor on-boarding.
• Expected to interface frequently with customers regarding project updates and status.
• Builds and maintains effective customer relationships.

Years of Experience:

• 5 – 8 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Contract and SoW Drafting, Negotiations
