Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Psychology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Certification in Special Education, Inclusive Education, or related credentials as per local regulations.
  • 2+ years of experience working with children with intellectual, developmental, physical, or emotional disabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of IEPs, behavior modification techniques, and inclusive teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Empathy, patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
  • Familiarity with assistive technology and adaptive communication tools (e.g., PECS, AAC) is a plus.

Preferred Experience:

  • Working with specific conditions such as  Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Down Syndrome ADHD cerebral palsy , or  learning disabilities .
  • Exposure to behavioral therapy frameworks (e.g.,  ABA TEACCH Montessori for Special Needs ).
  • Experience in inclusive or mainstream classrooms with children requiring additional support.
