Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of childcare professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Oversee daily operations of the childcare center, ensuring a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for children.
- Implement and maintain the center's educational curriculum, ensuring age-appropriateness and developmental appropriateness.
- Develop and manage schedules for staff and children.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and professional development sessions.
- Manage parent communications, including daily reports, feedback sessions, and addressing concerns promptly.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and organizational policies.
- Conduct regular safety drills and emergency preparedness checks.
- Manage inventory of supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate resources are available.
- Assist in the enrollment process and maintain accurate child records.
- Promote positive behavior management strategies among staff and children.
- Foster a collaborative and positive working environment for the team.
- Conduct regular center inspections to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
- Support the overall mission and values of the childcare organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in childcare, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong understanding of child development theories and best practices in early childhood education.
- Knowledge of curriculum frameworks and pedagogical approaches.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Proficiency in record-keeping and administrative tasks.
- First Aid and CPR certification are required.
- Background check and relevant clearances are mandatory.
- Passion for working with children and commitment to their well-being and development.
