Role Overview We are seeking highly skilled and versatile Database Engineers located in India to join our growing team.
This role requires expertise in both SQL Server and MongoDB —with a strong focus on cloud-based database management in AWS environments , performance tuning, and cross-functional collaboration with development and architecture teams.
This is not a routine DBA role.
We are looking for professionals who can own full-stack database responsibilities, from installations and HA configurations to query optimization and architecture discussions .
Responsibilities MongoDB DBA Install, configure, and maintain MongoDB multi-shard clusters for optimal performance and high availability.
Monitor database health, performance, and security; troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Design and implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies .
Manage database user access, roles, and security policies.
Collaborate with development teams to optimize queries and data models.
Plan and implement migrations of MongoDB clusters from AWS EC2 to MongoDB Atlas .
SQL Server DBA Administer Microsoft SQL Server, including installation, configuration, backups, and monitoring .
Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and T-SQL code .
Design schemas and indexes for performance and scalability.
Host, manage, and secure SQL Server databases in AWS (EC2, RDS, FSx, VPC configuration, etc.) .
Implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions (replication, clustering, automated failover).
Cross-Functional & Cloud Responsibilities Provide AWS infrastructure support related to database deployments, configuration, and operations.
Collaborate with developers and architects on data modeling, indexing, and schema design .
Participate in architecture and performance discussions , providing technical leadership.
Maintain a security-first mindset , ensuring compliance with policies and best practices.
Qualifications 5+ years of combined experience as a SQL Server and MongoDB DBA.
Strong expertise in AWS-managed database services and cloud infrastructure.
Hands-on experience with installation, configuration, and optimization of databases in AWS.
Proven experience with performance tuning and query optimization .
Versatile technical skill set; full-stack mindset preferred.
Strong communication skills with the ability to stand their ground and contribute effectively in cross-functional, US-based teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

As Technical Support, you'll perform varying degrees of problem determination and resolution of desktop hardware and software issues using your technical expertise and available resources to ensure that our customers' issues are resolved efficiently and effectively. You'll also have the opportunity to perform installs, moves, adds, and changes (IMAC) activities, as well as data backup and restore on certain accounts for clients, ensuring that all related administrative duties are completed within Service Level Agreement objectives.
You will develop a deep understanding of the local and regional infrastructure, as well as key contacts in other competencies, which will enable you to ensure that the proper team is aware of - and taking action on the problem.

**Responsibilities:**
+ Lifecycle management of databases on-premises or in the cloud such as:
+ Provisioning of databases,Upgrading the database,Decommissioning the database,Patch Management of the database,Backup, restore, and recovery of databases,Data Move (Export/Import) within the database,Database Performance Tuning
+ Database Security, including but not limited to:
+ User Management,Authentication and Authorization
+ Database Resource Management (memory, storage, tablespaces, archives, etc.)
+ Monitoring of databases such as:
+ Database availability,Database capacity, including utilization, allocation, etc.,Events and incidents from monitoring,Security vulnerabilities
+ Troubleshooting, such as failed jobs, ORA-errors, blocking sessions, etc.
+ Customizing the database environment to meet specific business requirements and workloads.
+ Adherence to established rules and standards by the service and Customer
+ Admin On Duty who manages the daily operation and ensures the service KPIs and SLA are met. Offering 24/7 technical support with experienced engineers to assist with any questions or issues.
+ Deliver Operation KPI Report
+ Adherence to the established rules and standards by the service and Customer,Utilization of the standard BMC ITSM tool, Incident and request fulfillment, Change management and fulfillment
+ Provision of a toolset to support the operation of the system environment (e.g., advanced asset management, automation, provisioning, backup & patching, scheduling, etc.)
