Required Technical and Professional Experience
+ 7+ years of experience in **Mainframe DB2 Database Administration.**
+ Responsible for installation, maintenance, and administration of DB2 databases, including upgrades, patch implementation, performance tuning, capacity planning, and ensuring security compliance.
+ Monitor health check activities such as image copy jobs, RUNSTATS, and DDL/DML reports.
+ Perform rebalancing of partitions to maintain optimal data distribution and performance.
+ Manage and monitor database space utilization to ensure efficient storage allocation.
+ Execute end-to-end release activities, including deployment, validation, and support.
+ Create and schedule DB2 utilities such as COPY, REORG, RUNSTATS, and QUIESCE.
+ Perform ad-hoc REORGs, RUNSTATS, and REBINDS in production environments to improve performance.
+ Implement and schedule production DB2 jobs, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
+ Monitor and support daily, weekly, and monthly batch cycles for smooth operations.
Preferred Technical and Professional Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
+ Responsible for housekeeping and maintenance of DB2 database files to ensure integrity and optimal storage usage.
+ Performed database tuning and optimization of DB2 parameters to achieve peak system performance.
+ Executed tablespace migrations to support database restructuring and performance improvements.
+ Provided 24/7 production support on a rotational basis, ensuring high availability, rapid issue resolution, and minimal downtime for critical systems.
