Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your manufacturing and process engineering expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside driven and collaborative teammates.

You'll define manufacturing processes and associated equipment for new products, ensuring alignment with industrial policies and project constraints. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with internal teams like Product Design Engineers, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Supply Chain, and Industrial Quality, as well as external stakeholders such as central teams and other site Industrial Data Managers. You’ll also lead a team to drive and execute projects, ensuring industrial deliverables are met on time.

You’ll specifically take care of creating industrial documentation, estimating manufacturing workloads, and validating product designs through FAR and FAI, but also support production in achieving manufacturing QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) targets.

We’ll look to you for:

• Gathering industrial requirements and ensuring Engineering complies during product specification and design.

• Participating in co-engineering activities to design processes and introduce new technologies.

• Developing specifications for industrial means and defining workstation layouts adhering to ergonomic and EHS rules.

• Performing P-FMEA and macro-process design, including line balancing and process validation.

• Leading validation of prototypes and ensuring smooth transition to serial production.

• Supporting production teams post-serial Go and managing retrofit industrialization after engineering changes.

• Providing expertise to the Industrial Costing Manager during tenders and participating in R&D programs.

• Driving continuous improvement through industrial REX (Return of Experience).

• Engineering degree in Mechanical or Electrical fields.

• 8–10 years of experience in manufacturing or manufacturing engineering, preferably in the railway or automobile industry.

• Technical expertise in process engineering, writing manufacturing instructions, line balancing, and Lean Manufacturing.

• Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) for Bill of Materials, Routings, and Configuration follow-up.

• Knowledge of CAD and PLM tools (e.g., CATIA, DELMIA).

• Familiarity with IS tools, Process FMEA, and QRQC methodologies.

• Understanding of Quality, EHS standards, and Ergonomics.

• Strong leadership skills to manage a team and deliver industrial objectives.

Upon hire, the successful candidate will work closely with the Global HR Solutions Process Excellence Consultant engagement lead, Global Process Owners and HR Subject Matter Experts across practice areas and geographies to document and improve processes, as well as to define new processes and ways of working to optimize operational efficiency and enhance the client experience.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• The successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities:
• Serve as an internal consultant, working with clients in GHR and the business to lead and deliver process design and process improvement engagements.
• Help plan, design, develop, and execute process design engagement activities including:
• Assist in evaluating and designing processes and procedures to increase productivity, reduce costs, improve time management, and improve risk management
• Coordinate and help support the delivery of interviews, focus groups / listening sessions, and working sessions with clients and stakeholders
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including identifying changes to existing processes and related policies
• Work with teams to ensure that processes are clear and can be applied quickly and efficiently
• Develop process monitoring tools such as dash boards, scorecards, SharePoint sites, etc.
• Monitor and assess implemented processes to ensure outcomes meet expectations and proactively evaluate steps to adjust for improvements in targeted outcomes
• Actively participate in HR Solutions communities of practice (e.g., change management & communications, process excellence, organisational design & effectiveness, experience & design thinking) to grow skills and enhance client results
• Help champion HR Solutions with HR colleagues and the business

Job Requirements:

• Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience (3-5 years)
• Certification: Lean Six Sigma Black Green Belt Certification preferred.

Work Experience:

• Experience within a large, highly matrixed organization with recent work related to executing on change initiatives, documenting and improving business processes; conducting data analysis, and preparing reporting.
• Conducting data analysis, and delivering executive-level reporting
• Knowledge of and demonstrated experience designing, analysing, and modeling business processes, methodologies, and/or toolkits
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Collaboration and teamwork
• Ability to work effectively across cultures and in a global environment
• Demonstrated, hands-on experience creating and evaluating comprehensive processes in a regulatory environment
• Functional Skills: experienced with:

About the Role

To support manufacturing function to maintain consistency in product quality by maintaining, improving, optimizing production processes, reducing cost per product by implementing technologically advanced solution, to keep entire manufacturing set up state of the art by benchmarking with industry and ensuring similar standards are applied at sub-contractors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize production processes to ensure consistent product quality
• Lead initiatives to reduce cost per product through advanced technology
• Benchmark and implement state-of-the-art manufacturing standards across our setup and sub-contractors
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, digitization, and IoT-based solutions for smarter operations
• Prepare PFMEA, Control Plans, SOPs/WIs for every process step
• Conduct periodic audits, calibrations, and inspections to maintain compliance with ISO & IATF standards
• Lead root cause analysis, CAPA, and 8D problem-solving
• Optimize shop floor layouts, conduct time studies, and standardize processes
• Collaborate closely with production, quality, and SCM teams to ensure seamless operations

Qualifications

• Diploma (10–12 yrs exp) or Degree (8–10 yrs exp) in Mechanical/Production/Automotive Engineering
• Experience in Process or Industrial Engineering within Automotive OEM, Tier 1, or Engineering industry
• Exposure to ISO 9000 / IATF / Deming environments
• Hands-on experience in New Product Development
• Lean, Six Sigma, or TPM certification is a plus
