POSITION OVERVIEW: Apollo is seeking a strong finance professional to join the Strategic Finance (SF) function which is part of the Finance Organization. Strategic Finance is responsible for the firm financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, Senior Management reporting, profitability analysis and other strategic analysis work. The Associate position is structured to provide exposure across all disciplines of Strategic Finance and build a comprehensive knowledge of Apollo’s businesses and the alternative asset management industry.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Consolidated & Business segment Reporting, Budgeting and Forecasting
Work on non-comp expenses for firm, segment, and funds
Generates monthly and quarterly financial reporting tracking actuals vs. budget / forecast for key metrics working with Finance, Business, and other departments (Equity, Credit, Tech etc)
Will be the primary business unit owner to deliver monthly and quarterly financial reporting tracking actuals vs. budget / forecast with key metrics for areas such as Finance, the business and other departments (e.g., Corporate Services, Legal)
Spearhead, manage, and run point on the annual budget, long-term plan, and monthly forecasts for the business unit/departments
Maintain detailed and flexible models supporting annual budget, long-term plan, and monthly forecast, including variance analysis along with other central deliverables
Own and manage financial modeling on current and potential business initiatives
Respond quickly to global ad hoc requests
Qualifications & Experience
4-5 years of financial analysis experience
CA by qualification is required
Experience of Power BI, Delphi Pyramid will be a plus
Demonstrated knowledge of accounting and experience in Financial Planning and Analysis
Exposure to complex organizational structures
Highly analytical; Excellent Excel-based modeling skills are required
Strong PowerPoint presentation skills are required
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Flexible and comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
Operates with high energy and a “can do” attitude with top-tier work ethic
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Proficiency in OneStream will be a plus

- Analyze past to present financial performance, derive insights, and help make data-backed recommendations
- Support investor relations by preparing investor presentations, memos and quarterly Board meeting materials
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams – Sales, Product, Marketing, and Operations – to align business strategy with financial goals
- Track and report key metrics (e.g., SaaS KPIs, ARR, CAC, etc) and prepare dashboards for leadership and investors.
- Benchmark against market and competition; support strategic initiatives like M&A,etc.
- Drive ad-hoc strategy projects for CEO, COO and CFO
Skill & Experience Needed
- Strong understanding of finance, accounting, and business valuation concepts
- Proficiency in financial modeling , Excel, PowerPoint, and storytelling through data
- Exceptional problem-solving and first-principles thinking
- Excellent communication skills (oral & written); ability to engage with VP/CXO stakeholders
- Education: Exposure to Finance & accounting subjects in Undergrad or Post-grad. Specialisation by way of CA, MBA (Finance), CFA, B.Com/BFIA (with finance background) is good to have
- Experience in SaaS/Tech business models and understanding of key SaaS metrics
