The Role: Senior Strategic Planner
You will be working with 2 other Strategic Planners in the team, delivering a variety of strategic planning projects including master planning, housing strategies, and built form frameworks.

The salary range for the role is between $94,528 to $107,589 + 15.25% superannuation  and 19-day month.
Ideally, we are seeking candidates who have about 4-5+ years’ experience and demonstrate strong understanding of the planning process and various strategic planning documents.

Principal Strategic Planner / Team Leader Planning Services – RELOCATION REQUIRED !

• Full-time opportunity in Tasmania – would invovle relocating interstate if you’re located outside of Tasmania
• Attractive annual salary package $138k-$160k  (including super) with 9 day fortnight working policy

Work for a regional council located in a scenic, famous winery and culinary region on the south side of Australia. This role will oversee a planning team of 4, with primary responsibility to deliver strategic urban and regional/rural planning projects – including but not limited to Council growth strategy, regional land use strategy, growth area structure planning reviews etc.

Reporting to Division Director, this role would suit someone who is looking for a tree change or to step up in their career by taking on responsibilities to lead and mentor young planners. This is a perfect opportunity to gain further experience in a region that has a blend of urban, rural and coastal planning issues through taking ownership to delivery key Council’s strategic planning projects over the next 2 years.

We are looking for someone with strong technical knowledge in strategic planning in a local/regional government context in Australia, with at least 7 years of experience.

Principal Strategic Planner / Senior Strategic Planner – Growth Areas Planning

Greenfield & Master Planning Focus 

We are working on an exciting search for a Principal Planner / Senior Planner  with strong experience in greenfield strategic planning . Our client is one of the fastest-growing councils in Queensland  and offers the chance to play a key role in shaping future communities.

This role presents a fantastic opportunity to contribute to significant urban and peri-urban expansion , while enjoying a healthy, balanced lifestyle  in a beautiful coastal setting.

Ideally, you’ll have at least 5 years of experience  working on strategic planning projects in either the private or public sector (e.g. precinct planning, master planning, activity centre planning, greenfield developments, or new townships ). Experience in infrastructure planning  and infrastructure charges or development contributions planning  would be highly regarded.

Experience with the Queensland planning system  is a plus but not essential—we’re keen to speak with planners from other Australian states (NSW, VIC, WA, SA, TAS, NT)  or from New Zealand  who are looking to relocate to and settle down in Queensland.

This includes leading and overseeing the establishment, management and delivery of development and infrastructure contribution plans.

Manager Strategic Planning (Infrastructure & Contributions) – up to $158,633 + 11.5% super

Reporting to the Director City Strategy, this is a key management role.  You will be the figurehead for all aspects of infrastructure planning and funding across council, including being accountable for providing expert level advice to councils Executive and councillors as well as working collaboratively across the organisation to ensure a cohesive “One CoM” approach to Infrastructure Planning.

Ensuring the team has what they need to be their best and encouraging open, clear and constructive communication. You will effectively manage business operations including budgets and resourcing, and oversee management of projects from inception to completion, while cultivating a constructive high performing culture.

Principal Strategic Planner (Infrastructure & Contributions) – $18, 141 to 132,292 +super

A subject matter expert on DCP’s and ICP’s you will bring your prior experience and knowledge into a dynamic capital city context. You will take initiative, utilise innovative thinking, and collaborate to lead projects. Establishing contemporary approaches to funding mechanisms for urban renewal precincts and masterplans through to municipal wide infrastructure planning.

As well as leading specific projects your role will also be to collaborate across the organisation to establish robust policies and procedures for DCP/ICP Management within the council.
