Support the team to run the overall Stress testing framework working closely with all the risk pillars across Credit, Counterparty Credit, Market risk and Treasury. Drive, engage and deliver strategic, individual and operational business objectives/targets. Manage the Country stress expected loss limits and breaches with analysis and monitoring of various underlying factors.
Ensure target achievement adhering to Service Level Agreements
Coordinate with CoREs and other Risk colleagues as necessary with respect to providing relevant information related to Country Risk.

To be a successful WCR Portfolio - Stress Testing you should have experience with:
- Strong track record in risk management with a leading Corporate and/or Investment Bank (4yrs+).
- Strong verbal & written communications and power point skills.
- Experience in the Stress testing role, also preferable has working knowledge of key accountable areas
- Strong understanding of Credit/Market Risk management and various products in Banking book, Trading book and various Risk measurement and metrics.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

Purpose of the role
To assess the capital requirements of the bank's credit portfolio under various economic and risk scenarios and design and execute stress testing exercises to measure the potential impact of adverse events on the bank's credit losses, risk-weighted assets, and capital adequacy

JOB SUMMARY
The Capital Stress testing team forms an integral part of the capital adequacy assessment process. The team conducts balance sheet and income statement analysis to come up with projections for Equity, CET1 and other levels of capital, thereby helping to determine the capital cushion under various scenarios including economically stress ones. At a PLC level, stress testing exercises are conducted for BoE, ICAAP. Stress testing exercise is also carried out or supported for where the Bank has considerable footprint.
The position is for an Individual contributor role who would be able to understand concepts well, analyze, come up with findings and present the same to the leadership team to arrive at valuable insights, in addition to performing model execution and data extraction.
Below further outline tasks and responsibilities that could be expected:
- Deliver on the, Balance Sheet & Income Statement projections for the Enterprise-wide Stress Testing (EWST) exercises
- Carry out the movement analysis & narratives for BS/PnL metrics

- The successful candidate for this position will play a key role in executing the stress test models in relation to Central & Others (excluding treasury) in the Bank's stress test exercises. The Capital Stress testing team forms an integral part of the capital adequacy assessment process. The team conducts balance sheet and income statement analysis to come up with projections for Equity, CET1 and other levels of capital, thereby helping to determine the capital cushion under various scenarios including economically stress ones. Job Summary

This involves a set of data wrangling activities – gathering, transforming, mapping, building business views and automation of sourcing processes that would help enrich the quality of data and make it appropriate for the downstream purposes such as analytics, reporting and visualization.

- Help to ensure appropriate BAU controls being established and deployed effectively in GBS.

**Principal Responsibilities**
- The role of the AVP is to lead and manage the end-to-end execution of regulatory and business stress tests across specified regions. Manage the program across countries within a geographic region to achieve consistency in execution while catering to the local nuances of portfolio dynamics and regulatory requirements. The role will include oversight and supervision of the calculations of estimating the likely impact of economic and financial scenarios on P&L, RWAs, capital and liquidity resources - both for enterprise-wide stress tests and ad-hoc stress tests directed toward specific countries and/or portfolios of interest. This role will have specific focus on measuring the impact of climate change on the Bank’s portfolios and risk appetite through internal and regulatory climate change stress tests.
- The role also involves providing thought leadership and creating opportunities for the team to work smarter, as well as adopt new tools and techniques to meet the ever changing requirements from regulators and senior stakeholders across the Group.
- Key stakeholders will be the global program owners which these teams support and include regional and Group management teams across Retail Risk and Finance. The role may involve managing small teams, with functional and line management responsibilities towards the team members.
Requirements
**Qualifications - External**
- Prior exposure in stress testing and / or impairment reserves. Good conceptual understanding of Retail Credit Risk, Basel and IFRS regulatory policies & principles is a plus
- Technical skills of SAS, VBA, Qliksense, Tableau will be added advantage
- 7 plus years’ experience required in banking and credit Risk management
- Relevant experience in fields like Credit Risk & Basel, Loss Forecasting / Reserving, IFRS9, Stress testing etc.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving and verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Past experience in understanding regulatory requirements for Stress Testing and capital management.
- Prior exposure to climate change risk management
- Good technical background working with large-scale data in distributed computing environments, including databases, data cleaning, and feature engineering
- Proven ability to produce clear summaries and reports from complex factual information, including both written documentation and graphical material
- Familiarity with a balance sheet and set of accounts
