Head – Draw Tower Position Overview The Shift Engineer will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations at the Optical Fibre Draw Tower, ensuring efficient production, quality output, and adherence to safety and operational standards. The role requires hands-on experience in fibre drawing sub-processes such as furnace, die floor, and centralized coating systems, preferably with exposure to Draw Tower technologies from
Nextrom, S.G. Controls, Conductix Delachaux, or ZTT . Primary Responsibilities Operate and monitor all die floor activities across three shifts as per standard operating procedures (SOPs). Ensure achievement of shift production targets, maintaining required yield and product quality. Maintain all equipment in optimal working condition and ensure minimal downtime. Conduct regular inspections and submit shift performance and progress reports. Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend corrective or improvement measures. Ensure accurate and timely production data entries in ERP systems. Troubleshoot process and operational issues during the shift. Operate and manage centralized coating systems, including changeovers and maintenance coordination. Additional Responsibilities Adhere to all Quality Management System (QMS) and Environment, Occupational Health & Safety (EOHS) standards. Maintain a safe and hazard-free workplace, minimizing risks of slips, trips, and physical injuries. Promptly report near-miss incidents or safety-related concerns. Educational Qualifications Degree:
