About Roles and Responsibilities:


About Role:


We are seeking an Supply Chain Manager to lead planning and procurement of electronic components along with QA/QC activities for our high-resolution Earth Observation payloads. This role focuses on sourcing space-grade and COTS components, quality assurance and control of space optical hardware development including managing supplier qualification and ensuring compliance with mission-critical quality and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the hardware development cycle with deep understanding of electronics component lifecycles, screening and qualification processes, and will work closely with engineering and operations teams to ensure quality and timely availability of reliable hardware for our payloads.


Responsibilities:


  1. Supply Chain
  • Manage cross functional objectives including Stores, Logistics, Quality and Engineering.
  • Handle end-to-end logistics including documentation for DGFT-SCOMET, ITAR, REACH and customs requirements.
  • ERP Systems Setup: Lead the selection and deployment of an open-source ERP system for procurement and parts tracking.
  • Co-ordination with Supplier for issues including Quality reports and risk mitigation
  • Internal reports to management for Gap analysis and resolution steps,
  • Cost Optimization: Support negotiation efforts with the management to ensure cost-effective sourcing while maintaining quality and schedule adherence.


2.Quality Assurance & Quality Control

  • Ensure all procured and fabricated components meet company defined standards for space qualification (thermal, vibration, outgassing, EMI/EMC). Previous experience is a bonus.
  • Develop and execute protocols for dimensional checks, electrical tests, and certification review of incoming components.
  • Conduct supplier quality audits and verify compliance with company defined standards and requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed records of quality assurance activities and findings, and preparing reports for management review.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues during the production process.
  • Analyzing and interpreting data to identify trends and patterns that may impact product quality and reliability.
  • Cleanroom & ESD Protocols: Ensure assembly and handling follow cleanroom, contamination control, and electrostatic discharge (ESD) safety requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive quality process improvements using lessons learned from integration and testing campaigns.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Supply Chain/Industrial Engineering.
  • 4-6 years of experience in electronics sourcing/supply chain, preferably in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability hardware industries.


Must have:

  • Strong understanding of space-grade components, MIL/ESA/ISRO standards, component heritage, and screening/qualification documentation.
  • Experience in ERP implementations (ERPNext, Odoo, SAP or equivalent), BOM management, long-lead planning.
  • Working knowledge of ITAR, DGFT, and customs documentation for import/export of aerospace-grade hardware.

Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Transportation Ownership

  • Own all inbound and outbound logistics across all facilities (Canada and U.S.)

  • Execute procurement for materials, components, and equipment across countries.
  • Manage RFQ (request, comparison, negotiation) processes, order follow-ups, handling non-conforming items, and quality feedback loops.
  • Coordinate receipt and inspection, organize returns/replacements for defective materials, and manage electronic invoicing.
  • Create and maintain item master data including part numbers and manufacturing routings.
  • Handle procurement order entry, material issue operations, and outsourcing work assignments.

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction, while ensuring compliance with corporate and sustainability standards.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience of relevant procurement or supply chain management experience in multinational companies (MNCs) in machinery or manufacturing or automotive industries.
  • Skilled in ERP/MRP system usage for part setup, order processing, issuing materials, and production routing. Familiar with SAP experience is preferred.
  • Experience handling e-invoicing, contract creation, and payment workflows.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Indian import procedures, tax and regulatory environments.
  • Proficient in import-export operations including L/Cs, customs clearance, coordination with customs brokers, and logistics for pick-up and delivery.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and cross-cultural collaboration skills. Able to interface effectively with global HQ, local operations, and suppliers.
  • Possesses a strong growth mindset, with a willingness to learn product knowledge and grow alongside the company from the ground up. Demonstrates high agility and adaptability in evolving environment.

The role oversees the full Demand Planning that consists of forecasting & sales planning of sell-out and sell-in, according to established methods, processes, and workflows, for India. The incumbent also ensures thorough review, control and balancing of supply planning and execution to always maintain adequate inventory levels at CSA and its various locations. The role is hands on, proactive, and highly focused on the development and execution of supply chain processes for NAOS INDIA, with the objective to meet sales and service objectives.

Role & responsibilities

  • Prepare, examine, and analyze supply chain financial statements to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
  • Manage and control the Demand Planning Process on country level, with a monthly rolling order/forecasting process & ensure high quality throughout all working processes (related to DP/Forecasting).
  • Responsible for the generation of a 24 months rolling forecasts, in close coordination with all necessary contributors or stakeholders, such as but not limited to customers, sales & marketing, regulatory and finance.
  • Setting up and maintaining monthly demand planning cycles i.e. monthly rolling order forecasts process incl. plausibility checks prior to SAP/APO upload.
  • Responsible for balancing country Demands & Supply/production plans and ensure adequate stock levels and shelf life of stocks .
  • Submit S&OP approved monthly forecast to HQ supply team.
  • Leverage on internal and external sales data to ensure awareness of sell-out development and market trends, as well as knowledge of sales & marketing activities (private & tender). Ensure analysis and action setting where gap are identified (eg +/-10% vs. orders or forecasts).
  • Continuously improving the sales forecasting techniques, process and input from the cluster, through trainings and collaboration with local commercial teams.
  • Exception management follow up, e.g. supply shortfalls & tenders linked to mapping where potential downsides can be compensated.
  • Support decision making process for product allocation and prioritizations in case of product shortages.
  • Support and participate actively in the change control and change management process of product changes by adequately matching demand and supply to registration change status (eg SL changes, T&L changes etc ). Identify and define reasonable bridging stocks when necessary.
  • Proactively facilitating, optimizing best practices & consensus between functional stakeholders (Demand Planning, Purchasing, Sales & Marketing, Regulatory, Operations, Finance, and IT).
  • Ensure the continuous product availability, in-line with Companys stock and supply policy (see SLA).
  • Ensure and/or support adherence to timely receipt of inventory and sales reports (ex-distributor sales) from CSA.
  • Ensures on time supply with the right documents through a close coordination with HQ sales administration.
  • Active contribution to the yearly budgeting process as well as Latest Estimate Sales processes.

  • KPIS : Forecast Accuracy (sell-out/sell-in), OTIF, Order Accuracy, On-Time Reports, Customer Satisfaction, Stock Norm, RED (Returns, Expiries, Damages).

Preferred candidate profile

  • Must have an MBA degree in Operations or Supply Chain. Additional certification in Supply Chain Management will be an advantage.
  • Should have at least 10 years of experience in Supply Planning ,Inventory Management and Forecasting in B2C business
  • Should have strong Leadership Skills with Excellent Follow up and sense of urgency
  • Should have solid organizational Skills and the ability to operate in a fast paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member is required with analytical and creative skills combined with an enthusiastic can do attitude
  • Should have high drive for results
  • Must be proficient in Ms Excel
