Job Role & Responsibilities
Role: Planning & Development of paint & Robotic painting process, Equipment, validation for 2wh and CV Parts
Responsibilities:
Process Planning
• Design Robotic Painting Process with Robot teaching for new parts , robotic painting parameters and standardization of process with achieving PQS-CTQ points for Sheet metal parts & polymer parts
• Develop New Colour paints with targets of minimum coats , lowest cost using low cost raw materials along with paint suppliers to achieve shade matching and PQS, CTQ
• Explore AI driven processes
Defect free fast product Introduction
• Process Improvements for Cost Reduction /Productivity /Delivery Time based on material , Equipments , Energy efficiency
• To establish necessary Poka-Yoke/interlocks for fool proof manufacturing process of painting of sheet metal parts.
Flawless Manufacturing & Product quality enhancement
• Study & resolve quality issues reported by plant & field
• Improve process reliability to get zero defect part supplies.
• Aesthetics improvement of visible parts.
Cost reduction & Capital Investment avoidance
• To generate VAVEs for part cost reduction
• Right sizing of equipment for Capital investment avoidance.
Green processes
• Standardisation of painting process through documentations like IPO , PPAP , PFMEA , APQP
• Explore Resource conservation.

Competency Requirements
Technical/ Functional:
-Knowledge & hands on experience of Robot Teaching / programming for painting of parts , preferably 2wh parts
- Knowledge & hands on experience for paint spraying and circulation equipments like pumps , spray guns , bells , promix
- Knowledge & hands on experience in development of new paints , testing parameters for appearance and durability like DOI , Orange peel , Colour measurement , Weather resistance , Salt spray tests etc.
- Hands on experience/ analytical ability in resolving paint defects , field failures and competence for countermeasures to resolve
-Knowledge & Hands on experience in various Pretreatment and painting processes including Tri-cationic Phosphating , non chrome ptretreatment , Liquid painting , CED coating , Powder coating & paint raw materials
