Job Purpose:

The Sustainability Manager will play a key role in developing and executing Diageo India’s Grain-to-Glass (G2G) sustainability strategy and communications. The role involves data analysis and insights generation for leadership, strategic roadmap development, ESG publications, stakeholder communication, and sustainability-related PR initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategy & Insights

• Develop and refine Diageo India’s G2G sustainability roadmap in alignment with corporate objectives.
• Conduct data analysis and generate insights to inform sustainability strategy and decision-making.
• Prepare sustainability performance reports and insights for management and board-level discussions .

2. Reporting & Publication

• Take responsibility for capturing G2G Sustainability initiatives and converting them into well-prepared stories within Diageo’s ESG reports .
• Work closely with the ESG reporting team to ensure impactful storytelling and alignment with sustainability disclosures.
• Develop compelling sustainability narratives for annual reports, BRSR, GRI disclosures, and stakeholder presentations .

3. Communication & Engagement

• Develop and execute internal and external sustainability communication plans .
• Monitor emerging sustainability policies, trends and engage with stakeholders, regulators, and industry bodies on sustainability priorities.
• Collaborate with Innovation, Regulatory Affairs, Corporate Relations, and external agencies to drive sustainability-led brand positioning.
• Manage sustainability-related PR and thought leadership articles , ensuring alignment with corporate messaging.
• Drive employee engagement programs to build a sustainability-focused culture within the organization.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Management/Master’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, or related field.
• Experience in sustainability strategy, ESG reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills for ESG performance tracking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and storytelling skills .
• Experience in capturing sustainability initiatives and developing ESG narratives .
• Familiarity with global and India ESG frameworks (GRI, CSRD, SBTi, BRSR, etc.).
• Prior experience in FMCG, CPG, or related industries.
• Exposure to public policy advocacy and sustainability communications .
• Experience with sustainability data management tools and dashboards .

Role Overview:

We are currently seeking an experienced Sustainability Manager to lead and manage our ambitious sustainability certification initiatives, specifically targeting Platinum-level or equivalent certifications. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in certifications such as LEED, IGBC, WELL, WiredScore, SmartScore, BRI, WLCA, and GRESB, and possess proven expertise in commercial office projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategically manage and drive all sustainability certifications, ensuring all commercial office buildings attain Platinum-level (or equivalent) status under LEED, IGBC, WELL, WiredScore, SmartScore, BRI, WLCA, and GRESB frameworks.
• Lead the certification process, including audits, documentation, compliance reviews, and coordination with external consultants and certification bodies.
• Collaborate proactively with internal and external stakeholders—including architects, engineers, project teams, and facility managers—to embed sustainability best practices throughout every stage of development.
• Develop, implement, and continuously update Muttha Group’s sustainability policies, standards, and frameworks, aligning them with global best practices.
• Track and report on sustainability performance, recommending innovative solutions and enhancements.
• Stay ahead of evolving sustainability trends, regulatory requirements, and industry advancements to ensure Muttha Group remains an industry leader.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5-8 years of demonstrable expertise managing Platinum-level or equivalent sustainability certifications specifically in commercial office real estate projects.
• Must have hands-on experience and deep expertise with LEED, IGBC, WELL, WiredScore, SmartScore, BRI, WLCA, and GRESB certifications.
• Certifications such as LEED AP, WELL AP, IGBC AP, or related accreditation strongly preferred.
• Excellent project management, organizational, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Exceptional analytical, interpersonal, and communication abilities.
• Ability to influence teams and drive sustainable innovation effectively across projects.
