AB InBev India is looking to hire Manager - Sustainability for its Procurement & Sustainability team based out of Bangalore.
Primary Purpose of the Role:
Drive and support in defining the strategy & execution for Sustainability at BU India, both internally and externally. They will lead water stewardship, Climate action, Smart Agriculture and Circular packaging initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Drive and execute strategic sustainability initiatives
- Drive cross-functional PMOs for other pillars of our Sustainability initiatives – including (but not limited to) packaging and carbon emissions.
- Driving water-shed projects around critical breweries, manage external stakeholders (NGOs, implementation partners etc.) working on watershed development projects for the company.
- Co-ordinate and work shoulder to shoulder with the plant teams to closely monitor the progress.
2.Influence and manage key stakeholders
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for leading impact-driven special projects, towards achieving sustainable development of farmers and our own supply-chain security.
- Serve as the internal leader and go-to expert for sustainability in India, monitoring emerging trends, programs and issues, and communicating and educating others on sustainability topics
3.Driving internal and external working groups
- Collaborate with start-ups to solve the sustainability challenges in our business and implement pilots with start-ups.
- Coordinate and lead internal colleague driven committees working on sustainability.
- Reviewing and monitoring carbon emissions across our value chain, develop roadmaps for reduction of carbon emission and implement the action plans by coordination with colleagues and external suppliers.
- Leveraging Communications and the creative teams for ensuring efficient internal & external communication practices are put in place.
4.Monitoring and Review
- Measure and monitor progress against sustainability strategies, objectives, and performance targets.
- This would be applicable for all projects mentioned above, and any others that would come up as a strategic priority during the year.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Attributes
Education:
·Master’s degree or higher (preferably in Environmental Management / MBA from top-tier B-Schools)
Skills/Knowledge:
- Having a keen eye on the latest innovations and breakthroughs affecting our supply chain efficiency
- Excellent communication skills: written, verbal and presentation
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong people skills and ability to work with diverse teams and stakeholders with a change-agent mindset
- Ability to differentiate between conflicting priorities and issues to identify underlying causes
- Networking skills in terms of connections in start-up communities/accelerators is preferred
- Prior experience in sustainability / external stakeholder engagement / knowledge of plant operations and supply chain is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and assess priorities effectively

- Must have hands-on experience and deep expertise with LEED, IGBC, WELL, WiredScore, SmartScore, BRI, WLCA, and GRESB certifications.
- Certifications such as LEED AP, WELL AP, IGBC AP, or related accreditation strongly preferred.
