Job Description: Sustainability and BRSR Analyst

The Analyst will be required to have a good understanding of assessing, measuring and analyzing an organization’s environmental, social and governance performance. The role will involve leveraging accepted global/local methodologies and frameworks to perform the assessments. The analyst should be able to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend best practices to achieve the sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

- Data Collection and Analysis:

- Collect and analyze data related to sustainability metrics, including environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all reporting platforms.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary information and data for the BRSR report.
- BRSR Report Preparation:

- Prepare the annual BRSR report in compliance with the guidelines set by regulatory authorities.

- Sustainability Reporting:

- Develop and maintain sustainability reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

**About the ESG Controllers** **t** **eam at Citi**
The Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Controllers team within the Finance function is responsible for the strategic oversight, preparation, review and ultimate submission of external ESG disclosures for Citigroup Inc ('Citi'). The team's scope requires close collaboration with stakeholders from the Sustainability & ESG office, Risk Management, Business Divisions, Human Resources, Legal and other global functions across the organization for timely and accurate reporting with appropriate controls and governance.
**About the Role**
The Sustainability Reporting Policy & Governance Vice President (VP) is a mid-to-senior level position on the ESG Controllers team responsible for developing and implementing effective policies, governance and controls over ESG disclosures for Citigroup globally.
This role will primarily:
+ Help establishrobust policies and standards to define requirements for regulatory and voluntary sustainability reporting,
+ Coordinate the activities of multiple cross-functional executive steering forums to ensure effective governance and oversight of reporting activities, and
+ Assess the impact ofemerging sustainability reporting requirements on Citi's overall disclosure strategy while ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory guidelines.
The ideal candidate will have a background in reporting, governance and controls and will also possess familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks/regulations such as the European Union (EU) Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) standards, Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol, Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF) standards, and California climate-related disclosure rules.
This role reports to the ESG Controllers Reporting Policy & Governance Lead and will be a critical contributor to the implementation of the overall ESG reporting strategy at Citi. This role will also require close coordination and engagement with external stakeholders including assurance providers and consulting partners. Strong executive communication and project management skills are required.
**Responsibilities**
+ Coordinate the activities ofcross-functional executive governance forums established for critical decision-making, review and challenge ofESG disclosures and project oversight for Citi's ESG reporting obligations.
+ Develop executive-levelcommunications summarizing Citi's sustainability reporting strategy, key disclosure items for consideration and the effectiveness of disclosure controls and procedures for the review of management- and Board-level committees.
+ Draft, implement and maintain policy, standard and procedure documentsto define the requirements for sustainability reporting globally (including considerations for governance, materiality, controls, roles and responsibilities).
+ Integrate sustainability reporting processes into Citi's overall Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework and taxonomy.
+ Support the execution of materiality assessments to identify priority ESG topics,define the scope of reporting, and meet the needs of Citi's internal and external stakeholders.

**Skills**
+ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field. CPA and/or CA preferred

Sigma is a newer technology, and there will be very few, if any, candidates who have experience with Sigma, but a person with strong skills in Snowflake (important) and a background in either Power BI or Tableau can learn what they need for Sigma

Roles and Responsibilities - Head Sustainability Disclosure and Reporting (ESG) - Mumbai City / Pune

Lead ESG reporting and disclosures to enhance transparency and stakeholder trust

Oversee annual ESG report preparation, assurance, and compliance with global standards

Manage internal and external ESG data requests and ensure timely, accurate responses

Successful Candidate - Head Sustainability Disclosure and Reporting (ESG) - Mumbai City / Pune

Master's in Sustainability, Finance, Business, or related field

10+ years in sustainability, with experience in both consulting and corporate roles

3+ years in ESG assurance or improving ESG reporting controls

Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks (GRI, CSRD, BRSR) and global regulatory trends

Experience preparing ESG reports and responding to rating agencies

Familiar with ESG metrics, especially environmental/carbon in the automotive sector

This role is integral to the company's financial operations, focusing on corporate reporting, financial statement preparation, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a proven ability to manage complex accounting tasks with precision and efficiency.

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and other relevant regulations. Your duties will include managing the general ledger, performing account reconciliations, and ensuring the integrity of financial data. You will play a key role in the month-end and year-end closing processes, overseeing the preparation of journal entries, accruals, and allocations. The position requires a deep understanding of financial reporting frameworks and the ability to analyze financial performance, identify trends, and explain variances. You will also be involved in supporting internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations. Collaboration with various departments to gather financial information and ensure accurate reporting across the organization is crucial. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional accounting qualification such as CA, CMA, or ACCA is highly desirable. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with a strong focus on financial reporting and general ledger management. Proven experience in preparing financial statements and managing month-end/year-end close processes. Thorough knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and GAAP. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities. Experience with tax compliance and filings is a plus.
