This position involves an engineering role within the Cabin System & Components department to support CIPL build cabs. The responsibilities include fulfilling factory requirements related to cab design from start to finish.
The scope extends beyond cab design to acting as a primary contact in CIPL, with responsibility for CPPD, reliability concerns, AQE, NPI build, resourcing, and localization. The role requires coordination with the relevant product group manager and L6 engineers, as well as collaboration with cross-functional teams such as SCM, Manufacturing, SDE, and SQE to ensure design requirements are met.
Core skill requirements:
Strong Knowledge of Structure design
+ Must be aware of CIPL facility process.
+ Must be aware of APQP, DMFEA, DMIAC approach, PPAP, WPS and PQR
+ Hands on Experience in Design principle, ISO standards for validation, Knowledge on tooling, manufacturing process, Paint process for cab.
+ Creo FEA analysis will be added advantage.
+ Should be able to read, understand and interpret the FEA reports,
+ Candidate must have strong technical expertise to develop new design concepts/ proposals and drive decisions - with appropriate data facts & Logics.
+ Must be able to work with Suppliers, Buyers, provide engineering support required to develop the parts.
+ Must be a good team player, provide technical supports in day -day activities,
+ Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD &T) and Tolerance Stack up analysis.

In this position, you will be mainly involved in design and engineering of SVC and STATCOM solutions in close coordination with various engineering team globally. As a key member of team, you will be responsible for designing of Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS) solution for global projects & tenders.
**Role & Responsibility**
+ Specify and implement grid/transmission system modelling as well as SVC and STATCOM system modelling in most common simulation environment (PSCAD, PSSE).
+ Perform the various power system studies like load flow, short circuit, transient stability and switching transients, insulation coordination, simulation of temporary and transient overvoltage stresses on equipment and surge arrester energy ratings.
+ Developing scripts to automate execution and analysis of simulations
+ Co-operation and working closely with the ITO (sales) team to understand and being able to find the most feasible solution that customers are seeking for.
+ Support technical tendering, review and approve technical specifications, plans and estimations.
+ Support in research and development tasks in the field of FACTS NPI. Organize and participate in innovation workshops, contribute in patent applications
**Required Qualification**
+ A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related discipline with 5-15 years' experience in power system study and modelling of electrical network.
+ Design experience in HV and MV applications with good knowledge of electrical/power engineering.
+ Understanding of power system analysis (e.g. system performance analysis and grid code compliance studies).
+ Experience on simulation tools (PSCAD, DigSilent, PSS/E, ATP or similar).
+ Strong oral and written communication skills in English
**Desire qualification**
+ Proficiency in PSSE simulation tools will be an added advantage.
