Primary Responsibilities:
- Liaison between Ariat HQ technical design team and factories
- Monitor and ensure factories execute per Ariat standards in construction, fit, and workmanship for the development cycle
- Review samples before sending to HQ; measure, evaluate and ensure sample is accurate
- Manage and communicate process and product challenges throughout the development process
- Works closely with the factories and production teams in resolving potential problems in advance
- Assists the Senior Director in improving and upleveling Ariat standards inclusive of but not limited to:
- Co-managing block building with vendors
- Reviewing and building out better tools for fit standards
- Reviewing and evaluating grading

- Excellent communication in English
- 10+ years of experience in garment development; woven & knit tops, dresses, technical outerwear, tailored garments, soft bottoms, equestrian show apparel a plus
- A deep expertise and understanding of fit, patternmaking, grading, technical construction, costing, and fabrics
- A trained eye for proportion, balance and aesthetic details
- The ability to command a room and lead projects, meetings, fit sessions
- Extensive experience working with factories; full understanding of equipment, garment cutting/sewing/QA/QC process
- Proficiency in computer skills; use of Adobe Illustrator, MS Office Suite; Centric PLM (or similar PLM system), and 2D patternmaking systems (Accumark a plus), 3D experience (CLO a plus)
- Exceptional multi-tasker and communicator, extremely detail oriented, and possess exceptional organizational skills
- An energized approach to collaboration and strong influence with partners and vendors
- Are fast acting and adapts to change quickly
- Passion for managing a product lifecycle and meeting deadlines
- Curiosity and zest for improving process and efficiency
NOTE:
This position will require travel to vendors and factories up to 50% of the time in some seasons.
