The opportunity :

Engineering authority in Control System performance for projects/tenders for Flexible A.C. Transmission Systems (FACTS) technology aligned with Power Quality Solutions (PQS) Business.

How you’ll make an impact :

  • Support developing base solutions of the existing control system of various FACTS converters and new project specific functionalities for the control system dynamic performance of FACTS applications

  • Responsible for the control system performance throughout the project execution from start to commissioning

  • Undertake PSCAD and RTDS simulation studies individually or as part of a team to verify control dynamic performance of our FACTS solution.

  • Participate in verification test of the control dynamic system performance in the Factory Acceptance and Commissioning Tests.

  • Collaborate cross functionally as well as within the team, train colleagues, and offer technical support throughout the complete delivery of the project.

  • Support tenders, delivery projects, and R&D activities during control system dynamic performance studies

  • Making reports out of verification investigations and presenting them to customers.

  • Understanding customer needs by reading customer specifications and participating in customer meetings.

  • Coordinate and communicate with all disciplines involved in project and tender deliveries, as well as being in close connection to research and development activities.

  • Having ambition in learning and sharing critical knowledge in today’s power system and control system of high-power converters for FACTS applications

  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

  • Your background:

  • M.Tech. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or similar.

  • Expert in power systems and control system analysis and have at least 8-10 years of job experience in this field.

  • Strong knowledge and background in control theories of high-power electronic converters.

  • Solid knowledge in PSCAD, RTDS, and Hidraw or any equivalent tool to develop control systems that runs in real system installed in field.

  • Hands-on experience in developing complex control functions in Hitachi Energy’s MACH control systems using Hidraw or in an equivalent C/C++ platform.

  • Communicate fluently in English.

  • Ability to work independently, in a team, and to assume responsibility for given task is key to success.

  • Good communication skills and can work in a dynamic and global environment.

    We are seeking a Senior RAN System Performance Engineer to join our System Performance team in Bangalore, India. In this role, you will help optimize the performance and customer experience of our 4G LTE and 5G NR small cell products. You'll contribute to Live Air Verification (LAV) activities, evaluate software and hardware releases in real-world environments, and conduct deep-dive analysis to drive continuous performance improvements.

    You Will Make an Impact By:

    • Developing and executing LAV test strategies and plans for validating new 4G/5G software and hardware releases.
    • li>Performing root cause analysis (RCA) and debugging complex issues using deep-dive analysis of UE (QXDM), eNB/gNB, Wireshark, and core network logs.
    • Benchmarking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and correlating to RF parameters and system metrics.
    • li>Validating and optimizing new algorithms and features in close collaboration with R&D teams.
    • Analyzing RF behavior (cell reselection, handovers, power control, link adaptation, interference mitigation etc.) across small cell and macro environments.
    • Driving operational measurements and post-processing of large-scale field data to identify system-level improvements. li>Providing feedback on product features and documentation to cross-functional teams. li>Influencing continuous improvement of LAV processes and tools to ensure carrier-grade product delivery.

     Required Qualifications for Consideration

      < i>Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (Master's preferred).
    • 10+ years of experience in RAN system performance , with strong subject matter expertise in 4G LTE, VoLTE and 5G NR (NSA/SA).
    • Deep understanding of 3GPP standards and end-to-end wireless system design.
    • Experience working through system performance and product development life cycle of LTE eNB, 5G gNB and/or UE products in R&D engineering teams at infrastructure / chipset product development companies is required.
    • End-to-end and in-depth knowledge of PHY, MAC, RLC, PDCP, RRC and NAS layer protocols
    • Expert-level end-to-end analysis capabilities of UE side logs, eNB and gNB logs, Wireshark logs and core network logs.
    • Proven track record for testing, deep dive troubleshooting and quickly getting to RCA of highly complex end-to-end 4G and 5G issues 
    • li>Expertise with defining, measuring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and correlation to other metrics and logs to debug and resolve real world performance issues
    • Deep technical expertise and understanding of the interaction between small cell and macro cellular networks
    • Hands on experience and expertise with wireless data collection tools like QXDM, Wireshark, XCAL, lab equipment such as spectrum analyzer and post processing tools like QCAT, XCAP etc.
    • Experience with automation and scripting languages like Perl and Python. 
    • li>Expertise in IP and related technologies including TCP, IPv4, IPv6, IPSEC, Routing protocols, Networking protocols, Security Protocols, SIP.  li>Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate in agile, cross-functional environments.

    As a business analyst, you will be responsible for understanding the needs of the end users, across contract management domains, and utilising your knowledge and experience in Agiloft products to demonstrate to end users how best to meet their requirements. You will then translate these requirements into well-defined user stories that the system engineers can rely on to develop, test, and deploy the required changes made to the systems.
    **Responsibilities and Accountabilities:**
    + Business Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs, goals, and objectives. Analyse business processes and workflows to identify improvement opportunities and define requirements for solutions.
    + Technical Specification Development: Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications that guide the development of software applications, systems, or processes, ensuring alignment with technical standards.
    + Solution Design and Recommendation: Work with Digital and software development teams to design solutions that fulfil business requirements. Evaluate potential technical solutions for feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with business objectives.
    + Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a liaison between business units and technical teams, facilitating effective communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
    + Project Management Support: Assist in project management tasks, such as planning, scheduling, and tracking progress. Ensure that projects stay on track to meet deadlines and budget constraints.
    + Testing and Quality Assurance: Participate in the testing of developed solutions to ensure they meet the defined requirements and standards. Assist in identifying and documenting bugs or issues for resolution.
    + Training and Support: Develop training materials and provide support to users on new systems or applications. Ensure that end-users are equipped to use the new solutions effectively.
    + Documentation: Create and maintain up-to-date documentation including business requirements, technical specifications, project plans, and reports to support ongoing knowledge.
    + Minimum 3 years of experience in site contract management at a Life Science organisation, focusing on Agiloft site contracting capabilities.
    + Knowledge and experience in R&D domains in Life Science / Pharma industry Demonstrated experience in business analysis, technical analysis, or a related area, demonstrating a track record of bridging business needs with technical solutions.
    + Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to understand complex business issues and develop appropriate technical solutions.
    + Experience in Agile methodology, DevOps, CI/CD principles and practices.
    + Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of information technology, software development life cycles, and architectural frameworks.
    + Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.
    + Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with diverse groups of stakeholders, including business users, Digital professionals, and management.
    + Attention to Detail: Precision in documenting requirements, specifications, and project details to ensure clarity and alignment with objectives.
    + Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements, technologies, and project priorities.
