What You Will Doing

ChargePoint is looking for an outstanding engineer interested in applying a broad skill-set toward building cutting-edge software for a next generation vehicle charging platform. You will architect, design, implement, and test new systems in a rapidly evolving problem-space.

What You Will Bring to ChargePoint

• Work on platform software including Linux Applications and IPC mechanisms
• Familiarity with kernel and communication interfaces like CAN, RS-232/484, I2C, SPI, Modbus, PPP is a big plus
• Collaborate cross-functionally and globally with hardware, manufacturing and other software teams to define specifications, features, and APIs
• Participate in design and code reviews, as well as mentor other members of the team

Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in developing embedded system products using C++ and C
• Expert-level C++/C coding in a Linux/RTOS environment is a requirement
• Managed and implemented large scale projects (not necessarily embedded, but application level, using Linux systems programming)
• Well aware of Linux IPC concepts, event driven architecture
• Good to have IoT experience and setting up devices, communication to cloud (experience with MQTT, etc protocols)
• Good to have python (Python 3) experience
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to translate software requirements to low level design
• Evangelize clean architecture, clean code practices and follow the same

What You Need To Bring

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Typically 6-10 years experience.

Knowledge And Skills

• Experience designing and developing software systems design tools and languages.
• Experience in storage product development either file, block or object storage.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in overall architecture of software systems for products and solutions.
• Designing and integrating software systems running on multiple platform types into overall architecture.
• Evaluating and selecting forms and processes for software systems testing and methodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.
• History of innovation with multiple patents or deployed solutions in the field of software design.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
• Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at business unit and executive levels.
• Must have very strong system programming background with C/C++ for large enterprise class software.
• Must have proficiency with data structures, algorithms and multi-threaded programming

• Data-path on large and complex modules.

• Replication, QoS, Storage Protocols (iSCSI/SCSI, FC, NFS, CIFS).
• Large Objects and Multi-part upload design/code complexities
• Performance tuning and modeling

What you’ll be doing:

• Design and Deliver high performance applications for desktop and mobile platforms.

• Work closely with our PM and design teams to define feature specifications and build the next generation of products using frameworks such as Angular & React.

• Work closely with operations for reliability and scalability of our features.

• Work with backend architects to build RESTful APIS.

• Web or mobile application development with variety of languages but not limited to using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Develop and optimize front-end UI to ensure applications are rendered consistently in cross-platform environments.

• Develop complex, responsive native and web applications.

• Optimize application for maximum performance, reliability and scalability.

What we need to see:
