Linux / unix System Administration with expertise on Veritas clustering, other roles and responsibilites are as:

- Deliver effort free work in the areas of Incidents, Requests, Changes
- Execute Patching
- Deliver on stringent SLA's in a high work volume environment
- Contribute improvement ideas - 3 per quarter
- Attend office on time
- Create any documentation / SOP's for the team

As Mainframe Storage Specialist, you are responsible to provide technical support with high degree of Customer Happiness by meeting Service Level Agreements (SLA) and process compliance. You will perform business impact analysis and risk assessments to reduce the likelihood of significant service outage or disasters.

There are two halves to this role: First, contributing to current projects where you analyze problems and tech issues, offer solutions, and test, modify, automate, and integrate systems. Required Technical and Professional Experience
+ At least 7 years' experience in IT industry as Mainframe Storage Specialist.
+ Storage box data migration (DASD to DASD and Tape to tape) and Storage replication
+ Analyze and research options for collaborates with exiting external systems.
+ Root Cause Analysis preparation and meeting Service level agreement for submission
+ Develop, document and maintain procedures for system utilities such as backup/restore, performance tuning and configuration of environments as well as incremental backups as required.
+ Initialize / add new DASD volumes and Add new tape volumes. Perform the space management activities such as VTOC resizing, Defrag, Compress/Reclaim/Release/Cleaning of datasets
+ Manage and Define SMS rules and ACS routines along with reorganization of storage dataset (RMM/HSM CDS & Catalog file)
+ Disaster recovery planning and performing the recovery test (Tape recovery / DASD Replication / Tape Replication) and Managing the Copy services / GDPS
+ Problem determination and resolution within expected time frame
+ Assume personal responsibility for resolving problems in most effective way possible within SLA reaching root cause and preventing problems
+ Lead daily Operations meetings provided there are no P1 incidents running.
+ Aid with identifying problem management trends
Preferred Skills and Experience
+ Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or a related field.
+ Proven experience as an IBM DataPower Administrator with expertise in managing and configuring DataPower appliances.
+ Experience in Storage box data migration (DASD to DASD and Tape to tape) and Storage replication.
+ Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues in a timely manner.
+ Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
+ Candidate will be expected to have good knowledge & Experience in the following (: MF - Tape & DASD Management) areas: DFSMS, DFSMSHSM, DFSMSDSS, DFSMSDFP, DFSMSRMM, ICF Catalog, VSAM, IDCAMs, CA products (CA Disk, CA allocate and CA-1), FDR products, Omegamon XE or related Storage monitoring tools, ICKDSF, Space abends and SMF/Dcollect/BVIR reports.
+ Candidates have to work in customer work hours- US, Europe and Asia Pacific (weekends and holidays as on call staff).

Engineers and scientists at JFWTC have contributed to hundreds of aviation patents, pioneering breakthroughs in engine technologies, advanced materials, and additive manufacturing.
**Role Overview:**
In this role, you will:
+ Work collaboratively with a globally diverse team of employees and contractors through FLIGHT DECK and with our SQDC mindset to deliver on established business priorities and commitments.
+ Provide excellent global customer/stakeholder support in a collaborative, consultative style with a constant focus on operational efficiency.
+ Install, configure, manage, secure, run and support large scale Linux-based clusters and related Lustre/NAS storage, visualization and data management services.
+ Support and maintain a broad spectrum of engineering software packages aligned to technical disciplines such as finite element analysis, computational fluid dynamics and lifing analytics or equivalent.
+ Build, manage and execute complex infrastructure management and operational projects (i.e. installation, upgrades, and migration/decommission.)
+ Embrace change and promote the identification of service improvement opportunities across the global team while applying robust change management processes.
+ Contribute to evolving current legacy service and solution offerings into next generation capabilities aligned to new and emerging business needs.

+ Significant professional experience in working with complex enterprise-class High Performance Computing (HPC) and/or Simulation Based Engineering and Science (SBES) systems.
+ Demonstrable and quantifiable experience providing technical HPC operational support as well as building, operating and managing distributed end-to-end technical computing and Linux-based cluster solutions (compute, storage, visualization.)
+ Willingness to work out of an office located in Bangalore, India with occasional weekend and off-hours availability required to execute on projects and respond to critical operational needs.

Technical Expertise:
+ Demonstrated ability to design, develop and maintain creative solutions to complex software, engineering toolchain and application problems.
+ Mission critical systems management experience with enterprise-class compute, storage, network, virtualization and cloud service technologies.
+ Experience working directly with, administering, maintaining and securing global Linux compute clusters (RHEL 7.x/8.x), Lustre-based storage services, related VMware visualization (ESXi and vCenter) and data management systems.

+ Experience working with emerging HPC GPU technologies, Machine Learning frameworks, Slurm, Hadoop/Big Data frameworks, Docker/Singularity containerization, etc.
+ Experience with engineering software aligned to finite element analysis, computational fluid dynamics and lifing analytics or equivalent.
+ Experience delivering complex technical projects focused on infrastructure management and operations.
