We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Systems Engineer, Infrastructure . Reporting to the Regional Infrastructure Lead , this full-time and permanent position is based in India and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our IT Operations Department and its’ growth.


Key responsibilities:

Build and maintain effective relationships with Infrastructure Leads, peers, IT Regional Managers and OPS team.

  • Act as a point of escalation for daily operational issues for IT Infrastructure
  • Oversee operational tasks and ensure proper documentation is maintained
  • Work closely with the business for any changes or requests for new services
  • Provide support in solving incidents, service requests and problems
  • Execute resolution of all incidents and problem enquiries
  • Involved in changes and ensuring adherent communication is released
  • Ensure continuity in service provision and restore required service in case of disruption
  • Manage third party vendors for incident management through to resolution
  • Check technical conditions of IT equipment and landscape
  • Build/provision IT hardware (Servers, Storage etc.)
  • Maintain & Update systems periodically as required by vendors, compliance or lifecycle management
  • Monitor and report on the system’s performance and take corrective action when necessary
  • Provide reporting on ad-hoc basis
  • Support with internal offices move, if required
  • Keep up to date documentation and tasks for audit purposes
  • Play an active role in IT Infrastructure related projects, when needed
  • Act and take actions as a 1st line support on the Infra team and establish good relationships with members of 2nd and 3rd line support groups.
  • Actively participate in information and knowledge sharing within the team
  • Work towards acquiring understanding of Vistra procedures and of our technical landscape that would allow driving customer issues to resolution in a timely and efficient manner
  • Understand and comply with Vistra Information security & Compliancy Framework and guidelines
  • Continue to expand customer service repertoire and continue to explore customer facing best practices
  • Following acquisitions, assist, when necessary, the project team with the integration of new systems.
  • Seeking continuous improvement in services delivered


Key requirements

As a successful candidate you will be a Systems Engineer with a general good working knowledge of Active Directory, Window Server OS (2012 and higher version). Virtualization – Hyper-V, VMWARE, Server hardware - Dell, HP, Storage Devices - Nimble / Alletra, Office 365 / Exchange server Management, Mimecast, OKTA, ETC.


Experience of working in a Service Desk environment operating within an ITIL framework within a similar position or within the IT sector is beneficial.


We are looking for a passionate, professional, and confident individual with excellent attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills. You will have the ability to prioritise, organise, and multitask whilst working in a busy environment.


  • 8-10 years of IT experience in similar role of IT Infrastructure management, Wintel Admin
  • Service Delivery / Client Orientation / Customer Service
  • Advanced technical troubleshooting skills
  • Full coverage to support the business hours,
  • Communication / responsiveness, Analytical Skills / Troubleshooting Skills
  • Working knowledge of ITIL compliance standards and successful methods to integrate those into corporate compliance processes is beneficial/ ITIL certified.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent English
  • Experience of working in a global team and in/for different jurisdictions (excellent English communication skills)


Education/Professional Qualifications

Full time Graduation Post Graduation in any Stream

Microsoft Certifications – Windows Servers / O365 / Azure / AWS
