Ensure Direct and Indirect tax compliance for Nuvama group 7 domestic and 6 overseas entities by stipulated timelines, review of Tax Returns, handle assessment proceedings, appeals etc. Assist in new Business and product advisory. Functional Responsibilities:


  • Ensure monthly TDS payments, quarterly Advance Tax Payments etc

Qualifications:

Job Description and KeyResponsibilities



Tax Strategy and International Tax Planning:


Leading tax support to Global Head of Taxation/ Finance to :


- Develop and implement tax strategies for global region, that optimize ETG Group's tax position, while remaining compliant. Align tax strategy with internal and external stakeholders, as per business needs.

- Identify global tax opportunities for tax optimization, deductions, credits, and incentives, discuss with Global Tax team, and lead action with local team, follow up to closure.

- Monitor, and actively manage the ETRposition of entities.

- Spearhead internationaltax planning efforts agreed with Global Head ofTaxation, considering the impact of tax treaties on cross-border transactions.

- Provide strategic advice on tax implications related to business initiatives and transactions in the region, e.G. in M&A projects, tax due diligence, tax structuring and restructuring, tax reviews, as required from time to time.


Tax Compliance:


  • Responsible to ensure that the ETG group companies complies with all tax laws and regulations globally.
  • Oversee and support Finance teams of ETG group entities and Relevant business to ensure they comply with relevant country tax laws and regulations.
  • Including, ensure Finance is timely preparation & filing of tax returns, including Income tax, VAT, CFC, BEPS filings (e.G. GloBE Information Return) and other taxes

Transfer Pricing (TP), BEPS, CbCr:


- Responsible for group entities to be compliant with International TP regulations.

- Oversee completeness of country related TP documentation/work with support to relevant Finance teams, to ensure they are in line with the overall Group TP policy and theirown country regulations.

- Ensure necessary TP documentation (local & Master file, CbCr, BEPS/GloBE tax etc) adequate to defend the

Group’s TP positions and future TP audits, in coordination with relevant tax advisors and Global tax team.

- Lead and Monitor changes in OECD TP, BEPS Pillar 2 regulations and work with the advisors, Global tax team to propose, agree and action tasks tomaintain compliance of the Group in Relevant region.


Tax and TP Audit & disputes, Legal Compliance:


- Responsible to lead and manage any Tax and TP disputes with Relevant country tax authorities, keeping the

Global tax team informed, and working with relevant CFO/ local Finance and local advisors.

- Manage and support tax and TP audits, and disputes within other Relevant tax authorities, along with their local

Finance team, advisors and Global tax team.

- Prepare and keep updated the tax audit risk register for the Relevant region countries.

- Prepare and maintain necessary documentation to defend the company's tax positions, work with tax advisors.

- Review ongoing tax positions and make recommendations where change is needed, follow up to close action.

- Conduct regular audits to assess and mitigate risks associated with tax restructuring and legal compliance to provide tax assurance to management.


Tax Accounting, Reporting and Documentation:


- Provide regular reports to management regarding the group's tax position and potential risks in Relevant

countries.

- Manage the provision for income taxes and deferred tax assets (DTA)/liabilities (DTL) and review/update monthly.

- Prepare and maintain accurate tax records, reports, and documentation for internal and external purposes.


Continuous Monitoring:


- Stay abreast of changes in tax laws, regulations, and international taxation trends specific to the Relevant region.

- Regularly assess and communicate the potential impact of these changes on our business operations.

- Proactively leading and preparing organization for changes in tax regulatory framework globally


Thought Leadership:

- Provide expert advice on complex international tax issues, leveraging knowledge of tax treaties and global tax frameworks.

Academic qualifications, experience and other requirements:

- Must have strong technical knowledge and abilities in few Relevant countries’Income Tax, VAT, International tax, Transfer Pricing. Familiarity with Pillar-2 and other global tax frameworks

- Must have working knowledge and exposure with International taxes, including understanding, analysing Double tax treaties. Knowledge/experience of common tax issues in the Relevant region would be advantageous.

B. About Your Role (Construction Focus)

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Tax Manager – U.S. Tax to join our growing tax team. In this leadership role, you will oversee complex tax engagements for U.S.-based construction and real estate clients , ensuring compliance, accuracy, and strategic tax planning.

This opportunity is ideal for professionals with deep expertise in U.S. tax law, construction-specific tax treatment, and multi-entity structures . You will play a pivotal role in mentoring junior staff, managing client relationships, and driving continuous improvement across our tax processes.

The ideal candidate is technically proficient, detail-oriented, and proactive—someone who thrives in a collaborative, performance-driven environment and is passionate about delivering high-impact results through innovation and excellence.

C. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and review preparation of U.S. federal and state tax returns (Forms 1065, 1120S, 1120) for contractors, developers, and construction entities.
  • Oversee multi-state apportionment analysis, nexus studies, and compliance for entities operating across jurisdictions.
  • Manage tax treatment of percentage-of-completion (POC) and completed-contract methods, including look-back calculations under IRC §460.
  • Review and advise on depreciation strategies, including Section 179 and bonus depreciation for heavy equipment and fixed assets.
  • Supervise preparation of K-1s, tax basis tracking, and reconciliation of book-to-tax differences.
  • Provide technical guidance on IRC §199A, contractor-specific deductions, and tax credits.
  • Conduct tax research and provide advisory support on entity structuring, mergers, and acquisitions.
  • Collaborate with U.S. engagement teams to resolve complex tax issues and ensure alignment with client goals.
  • Mentor and train associates and seniors, fostering technical development and quality control.

D. Required Qualifications & Experience

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
  • CPA or EA required;
    MST or equivalent advanced tax qualification preferred.

Experience:

  • 7–10 years of U.S. tax experience, with construction, or real estate clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply U.S. tax laws to contractor-specific scenarios.

Essential Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of construction entity structures: LLCs, S-corps, partnerships.
  • Proficiency in GoSystem Tax RS, CCH Axcess, or similar tax software.
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and tax accounting principles.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication for effective collaboration with U.S.-based teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple engagements, lead teams, and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Experience working with international teams or cross-border tax engagements.

Preferred but not mandatory skills or experiences:

  • Consistent top-quartile academic performance across educational and professional qualifications.
