**Job Description**:
This is a great start to your journey to becoming an effective Environments Artist! The goal is to develop your skills to a level that will have you delivering high quality content while keeping to a schedule.
Lessons focus on modelling and texturing for environments as well as procedural environment construction and layout.
The course is geared towards improving both creative and technical aspects of your skillset as well as honing communication skills to better collaborate with colleagues.
You will be learning from industry professionals with a studio-level focus, which includes appropriate workflow techniques and delivery expectations.
Curriculum
Week 1: Modeling Forms and Structures, Basic Blocking, Mesh Flow and Topology
Week 2 - 3: Sculpting Workflow
Week 4 - 5: Modeling with Texturing Workflow
Week 6: Introduction to Houdini for Environments
Week 7 - 8: Environment Building in Houdini
Prerequisites
- Knowledge of the modelling tools in Maya
- Basic knowledge of Mari (preferred)
- Basic knowledge of procedural landscape workflows in Houdini (preferred)
- WACOM Tablet (_Intuos or Cintiq models_)
