**Role Summary**
+ To operate conventional lathe and milling machines for precision machining of components as per engineering drawings, quality standards, and production schedules, ensuring safe work practices at all times.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ **1. Machine Operation**
+ Set up and operate conventional lathes and milling machines as per job requirements.
+ Read and interpret engineering drawings and job instructions.
+ Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for different materials.
+ **2. Quality Control**
+ Inspect machined components using measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, and dial indicators.
+ Ensure parts meet dimensional and surface finish specifications.
+ Record inspection results and maintain proper documentation.
+ **3. Maintenance & Housekeeping**
+ Perform routine preventive maintenance on machines and tools.
+ Keep the work area clean, organized, and free from hazards.
+ **4. Safety Compliance**
+ Follow all safety guidelines, including PPE usage and safe machine operation.
+ Report unsafe conditions or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.

**Requirements:**

**Preferred Skills/Experience:**
+ Knowledge of machining principles, cutting tools, and material properties.
+ Candidate can read and speak Kannada.
