Overview Of The Role
KX is hiring a Technical Writer to create and manage clear, user-friendly documentation for our enterprise and AI-based software platforms. This contract role plays a key part in enhancing product adoption and user understanding by working closely with engineers, product managers, and subject-matter experts.
Key Responsibilities
Create and maintain structured, accessible product documentation (user guides, API docs, release notes)
Work closely with developers and SMEs to ensure technical accuracy
Copyedit and review internal content to maintain tone, consistency, and clarity
Deliver content aligned with product release cycles and stakeholder timelines
Analyze competitor documentation and user feedback to continuously improve content
Skills
Technical Writing: Strong experience creating product documentation for technical users
Tools & Formatting: Proficient with Markdown, Confluence, Git-based documentation tools
API & Integration Knowledge: Ability to document APIs, SDKs, and cloud-native systems
AI/ML Awareness: Understanding of LLMs, GenAI frameworks, and ML model documentation
Financial Services Domain: Experience writing for enterprise platforms in banking or finance
Collaboration: Skilled at working with developers, QA, and product teams in Agile environments
Communication: Strong command of English grammar, structure, and clarity
Essential Experience
3–6 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in software or data platform environments
Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail
Proficiency with documentation tools and Git workflows
Experience in fast-paced Agile product environments
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Python, JavaScript, or web technologies (HTML, XML, CSS)
Experience documenting APIs, cloud-native systems, or AI/ML platforms
Prior experience with GitHub/GitLab documentation workflows
Understanding of user personas and onboarding experiences
