Technical Assistant
The Role
As a Technical Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the Power. Forming part of a skilled and high performing team, you will have the support of a progressive and experienced management team and be exposed to a variety of interesting and challenging work environments.
This role is a casual position at various major Power Station outages within the Lake Macquarie and Hunter Valley, NSW region with potential for ongoing project / shutdown opportunities for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting NDT Technicians and Inspectors to conduct required inspections and testing of plant and machinery
- Documenting findings in a clear and concise format following instruction work packs
- Conduct replications of metallic surfaces in accordance with SRG procedures
- This position may require interstate and intrastate travel
The successful applicant will ideally have:
- Hold an industry White Card
- Working at Heights, Confined Spaces and Gas Test Atmosphere (required)
- Experience working in mining, industrial or power settings (advantage)
- Previous experience within Manufacturing, Mechanical and Automotive trades (desirable)
- A high attention to detail, ability to follow direction and adhere to Work Health and Safety regulations
- Have the ability to work effectively within a team with strong communication skills and a willingness to challenge yourself and learn
- The ability to successfully pass a Pre-employment medical including a Drug & Alcohol Screening

- Monday to Saturday roster / 10 hour shift pattern / 6 shifts per week / day and night shifts available

Shape the narrative and rhythm for the Office of the CIO — including IT Leadership meetings, Town Halls, ExCom briefings, Audits and strategic reviews.
Act as an interface with enterprise leadership, vendors, partners, and critical internal forums.
Track progress and outcomes of high-impact IT programs, digital transformation efforts, and technology innovation streams.
Track key action items, ensure timely follow-ups, and maintain CIO office documentation.
Governance & Strategic Program Oversight
Support or represent the CIO in select cross-functional steering committees, innovation forums, or digital governance councils.
Track and monitor the progress of top-priority initiatives, help escalate risks and surface decisions.
Help manage intake of strategic topics, ensuring time and focus are spent on the most value-creating areas.
Organizational Effectiveness & Operating Model Support
Partner with IT leadership, Strategy and Transformation Office to ensure alignment with strategic goals and technology roadmaps.
Assist in cascading priorities, communicating key messages, and driving alignment across business units and geographies.
Help shape the operating cadence, KPIs, and internal communications for the IT organization.
QualifikationenEducation & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field).
6+ years of experience in a project coordination or delivery role, ideally supporting senior IT or technology leaders.
Experience in navigating matrixed, global, or enterprise environments with high visibility and influence.
