**Job Description Summary**

The Gas Power Technical Compliance organization (GPTC) provides technical guidance, leadership, and tactical directions to drive Technical Compliance to global technical regulations and standards for product (gas turbines, steam turbines and generators) and plant systems (HRSG, water steam cycle and BOP) to be integrated into a power plant for HD and Aero businesses.
GPTC provides coverage in expertise throughout the entire lifecycle of Power Generation equipment including New Product Introduction (NPI), commercial phase (Inquiry to Order -ITO), and execution (Order to Remittance - OTR).
GPTC is seeking a new team member to drive Technical Compliance to global technical regulations and standards for product from commercial phase to end of execution, covering Heavy Duty and Aero projects globally. The goal of the process and functional safety is aimed to ensure a safe operation of a power plant, in compliance with technical regulations and standards.
**Job Description**
**Roles and Responsibilities**
+ Provide clear direction and support to the GE Power ITO / OTR engineering teams in meeting all the Compliance, Legislative & Technical Regulatory requirements of our products at the proposal stage with respect to Building code/Electrical code/ Pressure safety requirements.
+ Monitor progresses to ensure GE Vernova priorities are met Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost in this order.
+ Work closely with all other interface functions like Engineering, Sourcing and Manufacturing to establish implementation plans as needed to achieve and maintain Technical regulatory compliance.
+ Identifying emerging compliance trends, or related regulatory and policy issues that may impact the business compliance readiness and to make appropriate recommendations.
+ Actively support business initiatives in Quality, Lean, Continuous Improvement and Configure to Order related to Technical Regulatory Compliance.
+ Supports in meeting KPIs and drive continuous improvement to meet or exceed the annual priorities.
+ Interact with Authorities and Inspection/Certification Agencies to validate compliance to technical regulatory requirements and safety standards.
+ Support the team to develop standard work and daily management to ensure operational excellence.
+ Ensure adherence to Company policies and procedures.
**Required Qualifications**
+ Mechanical/Electrical Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent.
+ Previous experience working in international companies in energy business. (more than 3 years), preferably in engineering or project management. Demonstrated ability to work in a team.
+ Shall be capable of (i) identifying and resolving regulatory and compliance issues quickly and effectively and (ii) dealing with Regulators and resolving concerns.
+ Good understanding of legislative requirements, current compliance practices and industry standards.
+ Exposure to generally accepted codes & standards like EU (ATEX, EMC, PED, LV), ASME, IBC, and Grid Codes.
+ Good communication and presentation abilities.
+ Good organizational, facilitation and leadership skills.
+ Occasional travel required.
+ Excellent skills working with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Customer

Ownership
Overall accountability for the vessel’s safety management remains with the ISM DoC holding office.

Monitor
Monitor the compliance readiness of allocated vessels in, 

1) Non-Critical PMS routines 
2) Vessel Inspection Report (VIR) Monitoring 
3) Certification Monitoring – Trading Certificates 
4) Certification Monitoring – PMS Certificates
5) Fuel Oil Analysis Monitoring 
6) Lube Oil Analysis Monitoring 
7) Technical Month End Returns 

Any compliance gaps shall be highlighted to the process owner for action.

Reporting 
Keep all internal stakeholders updated on statutory defects and other issues which may be detriment to the vessel’s performance under port state control inspection.

Risk management
Utilise Operational Risk Analysers, Technical Dashboards, Sentinel, and other Shipsure compliance tools to prioritise vessels for Ops Centre support. Maintain records of support actions taken, including action items for follow up by the ship management office.

    The Sr. Technical Risk and Compliance Analyst performs the tactical end-to-end execution of risk management, associated with our SOX Compliance Program. This includes scoping, planning, discovery, fieldwork, development/design of recommendations, report writing, tracking of findings, and verification of management remediation action plans, under the guidance/direction of managers.


    This individual will collaborate with functions such as Internal Audit, Information Security, Legal, Product & Technology, Brands and Corporate Shared Services functions to drive continued progression of our risk management practices in support of our SOX Compliance Program.


    In this role, you will :

    • Acquire a solid understanding of how the department operates and fits into the larger organization, including the unique aspects of various functions/organizations within the broader enterprise 

    • Demonstrate awareness of the policies, practices, trends, and information that impact the organization and its customers 

    • Prepare supporting risk and controls documentation for business initiatives and projects, including (but not limited to) risk and controls matrices, process flows, and various checklists 

    • Design controls for new or changed business and/or technology processes/tools and train control owners on control execution and supporting evidence 

    • Report to senior leadership on project status, including any blockers where support is needed to push forward 

    • Review overarching project timelines and develop a schedule of tasks to achieve project milestones, including mechanisms to keep relevant stakeholders informed on progress or significant changes to timelines 

    • Work with more experienced team members to help identify all resources required to support any project 

    • Assist team members in the creation of routine technical communication materials (e.g., policies & procedures, guidelines, presentations, messages) 

    • Support the development of risk mitigation strategies and remediation plans for audit findings 

    Experience and Qualification:

    • Hold a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, audit, or information systems; or 2+ years of equivalent experience in IT Risk Management, Technical SOX Compliance, Audit or other similar IT SOX consulting or risk advisory functions 

    • Naturally inquisitive and committed to staying abreast of the latest risk management, SOX Compliance, and industry and technology trends 

    • Ability to quickly adapt to changes in project direction, requirements, and team procedures 

    • Experience in navigating between technical and non-technical audiences 

    • Solid understanding of risk and compliance management frameworks such as ISO and COSO 

    • Previous experience in one or more of the following areas: 

    • IT General Controls 

    • Cloud operations 

    • Data governance

    Key Responsibilities

  • Understand and apply Technology Control Framework based on industry standards to establish, promote and manage governance, risk compliance.
  • Implement security controls, risk assessment framework, and program that align to best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure and monitor effective implementations of the policies and procedures.
  • Inform and align decision making for information technology planning, policy and operations to meet business objectives.
  • Communicate the governance activities, policies and decisions with the IT Management and Business Leadership and keep them informed of IT governance decisions that will affect IT services and projects.
  • Work with different stakeholders to maintain up-to-date documentation for scoping, testing and remediation of technology controls
  • Assess audit findings / gaps including control weaknesses in coordination with different stakeholders and assist with development of management action plans.
  • Assess efficacy of security controls, document and report control failures and gaps to stakeholders. Provide remediation guidance and prepare management reports to track remediation activities.
  • Ability to communicate a deep understanding of the business and a broad knowledge of existing risk evaluation practices is expected in this role.
  • Carefully maintain complaint and nonconformance processing through records and tracking systems, including root cause and corrective actions.
  • Execute strategy for dealing with increasing number of audits, compliance checks and internal assessment processes for Ameriprise standard compliance framework/practices.
  • Lead the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks across all operational, strategic, and regulatory domains.
  • Oversee the governance controls across technology business units, ensuring effective governance structures, executive performance evaluations, and compliance with corporate governance codes.
  • Work closely with senior management to define risk tolerance levels, ensuring that appropriate mitigation measures are in place.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including the Board, senior management, regulators, auditors, and business leaders.
  • Provide regular updates to the Board and senior management on governance, risk, and assurance matters, including risk exposures, compliance status, and audit outcomes.
  • Lead the preparation of comprehensive risk and governance reports, including annual governance reports, risk assessments, and assurance reviews for the Board and senior management.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Foundational knowledge of Cloud Computing Technologies (AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP etc.).
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills along with refined presentation skills and the ability to work with other departments and varying levels of management, including senior leadership.
  • Be able to engage at all levels of the organization to organize, drive and communicate results.
  • Good understanding of industry standards for compliance such as ISO 27001:2013, PCI DSS, and SSAE 18 SOC 1 / SOC 2 attestation standards.
  • Defining problems, collecting, and analyzing data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions
