DRAUGHTSMAN/CAD Technician(Electrical, Mechanical & Civil)
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the design team/ project team to support and adhere in the production of required drawings.
- To ensure timely submission of drawings as per the Drawing schedules.
- To ensure the drawings are as per the approved Standards with proper pen assignments, title block, scale, clarity of the drawing etc.
- To initiate resubmission/ comment incorporating in coordination with project team in due course of project.
- To coordinate with CAD coordinator and project team in clearing the queries related to drawings and issuance of drawings.
- Adhere to workflows and Ensure the drawings and construction documents are accurate.
- Keep abreast of design changes and drawing updates through inter-disciplinary coordination.
- Monitor quality control procedures for completeness and adherence to company standards of all drawings produced and provide feedback to the Manager.

**Salary**: ₹25,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month

+ Create detail, subassembly, and final assembly drawings of various products from sketches, job sheets, or markups of similar designs as required
+ Co-ordinate and deliver as built drawings for customers
+ Create drawings for permit
+ Perform required drafting changes or create new drawings as required
+ Update engineering design packages and prepare files for distribution as required
+ Maintain and update CAD files,
+ Assist engineers/designers with drafting and development of engineering work packages
+ Design and draft single lines; hazardous area classification; electrical layouts c/w cable tray runs, grounding, cable runs, lighting; wiring schematics; cable/conduit schedules; lighting panel schedules; junction box layouts; control panel layouts; I/O loop drawings; heat trace design; electrical installation details; etc.
+ Managing and organizing drawings including drawing number request, receiving, storing, printing, issuing, etc.
+ Liaising and coordinating closely with internal team members and clients, and working effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment
+ Plan and organize work
+ All other duties as assigned
+ Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Instrumentation & Control Engineering (or related discipline)
+ CAD Certificate or Diploma from a recognized institution preferred
+ Ten (10) plus years of AutoCAD drafter/operator, in electrical and control system
+ Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, AutoCAD electrical and Autodesk Plant 3D
+ Strong knowledge of 3D Modeling
+ Experience in Autodesk Navisworks

Responsibilities:
1. Develop detailed and accurate bridge design and construction drawings using CAD software, following project specifications, engineering standards, and codes.
2. Collaborate with engineers and other team members to understand project requirements and provide technical support during the design and construction phases of bridge projects.
3. Create 3D models and visualizations of bridge structures to assess design feasibility and communicate ideas to stakeholders.
4. Prepare and update CAD drawings as needed, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established project deadlines.
5. Conduct regular reviews of designs and identify any discrepancies or errors, providing suggestions for improvements and modifications when necessary.
6. Assist in the preparation of engineering reports, proposals, and specifications related to bridge design and construction.
7. Maintain a comprehensive archive of all CAD files and project documentation, ensuring that they are easily accessible and organized for future reference.
8. Stay updated with the latest CAD software and techniques, participating in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a CAD Technician in the civil engineering field, preferably with a focus on bridge design and construction.
2. Proficiency in using CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, MicroStation, etc.) and an understanding of 3D modeling techniques.
3. Strong technical and mathematical skills, with the ability to accurately interpret and analyze engineering drawings and specifications.
4. Familiarity with relevant codes, guidelines, and standards related to bridge design and construction (e.g., AASHTO, ACI).
5. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve design issues and discrepancies.
6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and present technical information clearly.
7. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
8. A degree or diploma in civil engineering or a related field is preferred, but relevant work experience will also be considered.
9. Knowledge of GIS software and civil engineering software (e.g., SAP2000, STAAD.Pro) is an advantage.

+ Be prepared to take a lead modelling/CAD role on select projects within a mine waste or multi-discipline environment

+ Minimum 2 years of experience in using MicroStation and/or OpenRoads Designer, preferably on transportation projects.

+ Familiarity with ISO 19650-based workflows, model versioning, and structured data exchange.

Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a CAD Technician in the civil engineering field, preferably with a focus on bridge design and construction.
2. Proficiency in using CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, MicroStation, etc.) and an understanding of 3D modeling techniques.
3. Strong technical and mathematical skills, with the ability to accurately interpret and analyze engineering drawings and specifications.
4. Familiarity with relevant codes, guidelines, and standards related to bridge design and construction (e.g., AASHTO, ACI).

+ Create detailed engineering drawings for Extra High Voltage (EHV) projects, covering both Air Insulated Substations (AIS) and Gas Insulated Substations (GIS), ranging from 11kV up to 400kV (with a particular emphasis on 132kV voltages and above)
+ Preparation and development of EC&I deliverables such as Single Line Diagrams, loop drawings, cable block diagrams, plant layouts, cable routing, cable containment design and switchgear configurations using both 2D and 3D software packages;
+ Develop darwings to support detailed engineering, such as Land Utilisation Plan, Elevations, Above and Below Grade Conduit layouts, Grounding layout & it's connection details, Lighting and Lightning protection with respective details, Bill of Materials, CDM, MEWP layouts.
+ Facilitate coordination of design activities across various departments, including Civil/Structural, Networks, and Transmission Line. Conduct design reviews, participate in virtual meetings, and collaborate closely with clients.
+ Assist with preparing drawings and revising existing engineering drawings of basic components from specific sketches or layouts.
+ Responsible for adhering to company and client drafting standards and procedures.

+ Preferably familiar with UK projects. Experience of working in a lead substation design role on National Grid Electricity Transmission projects (or other UK utilities like SSEN, SPEN etc.) in the UK will be an added advantage.
