QA Test Engineer – Tosca

As a QA Test Engineer – Tosca, You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality initiatives, implement automation strategies, and ensure best practices across the software development lifecycle. You will report to the IT Engineering Manager and work in a hybrid capacity from our Pune, India office.

Your Responsibilities:

· Develop and implement test strategies, automation frameworks, and test cases for functional, regression, performance, and data integrity testing.

· Collaborate with business and development teams to ensure test coverage, shift-left practices, and continuous quality improvements.

· Provide training, workshops, and governance to promote QA best practices across teams.

· Manage test environments, tools, and data configurations to support enterprise-wide testing efforts.

· Conduct root cause analysis, code reviews, and contribute to architectural improvements for testability.

The Essentials – You Will Have:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

· Tosca Certifications: AS1 and AS2.

· 4+ years of experience in test automation and/or software development.

· Hands-on experience with test automation tools (e.g., Tosca, Selenium, UFT), test management tools (e.g., Jira, qTest), and scripting languages.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

Key Responsibility:

• Review business and technical requirements to ensure clarity and testability.
• Develop, execute, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Perform manual and automated testing for web, mobile, and CRM platforms.
• Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello).
• Collaborate with the development team to reproduce, diagnose, and resolve issues.
• Conduct regression, integration, functional, and UAT testing.
• Verify fixes and perform final validation before product deployment.
• Ensure quality standards are met before every release or go-live.
• Contribute to process improvement by identifying testing gaps and suggesting optimizations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in software testing or QA role (manual and/or automation).
• Familiarity with QA tools and bug-tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, TestRail).
• Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and APIs for backend testing.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Actively involve in the primary responsibilities that include but not limited to: · Design, develop, and execute automated tests to verify software quality · Converting manual test cases into automated scripts, maintaining and enhancing existing automation frameworks, and integrating them with CI/CD pipelines · Analyze test results, report defects, and collaborate with development and other teams to ensure software meets quality standards · Create testing artifacts, configure test environments, write automation scripts, prepare test summary reports, etc. as required

4. Actively contribute towards various Transformation initiatives (Process maturity, Testing efficiency, Devops automation, Security vulnerability remediation, etc.) to achieve the project goals

5. Mentoring and guiding junior team members while assigning and tracking the testing tasks for closure without any schedule, quality and cost slippages

6. Manage and maintain test data, leveraging tools like GenRocket for synthetic data generation.

7. Ensure test automation supports CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub) and integrates with DevOps practices.
