Responsibilities
- Raise the level of technical competence within the teams.
- Implement delivery and quality measurement processes
- Promote technical excellence in all our projects .
- Undertake technical reviews, peer reviews, checks and contribute to the design
- Provide continuous feedback to the Local Head of CRC on the effectiveness of the protocols and processes in place with a view to continuous improvement
- Develop positive professional relationship with the WSP ZA Team, communicating openly about project progress
- Participate in Project meetings, team meetings, disseminate information within the team, and communicate with other teams in WSP.
- Identify and act on, or refer, potential risk issues and follow in full the company commercial and contracting processes
- Manage delegated tasks to ensure that deadlines are met and flag resourcing concerns to team leader
- Identify and flag additional fees to the Local CRC Head of MEP
- Complete timesheet accurately ahead of weekly deadlines

- Independently manage all project phases as per PROCSA, NEC, JBCC and other engineering contracts
- High-level quality to the attention to detail when performing design reviews, for sign-off, with internal working peers and BIM team.

- Ability to offer input with multiple engineering disciplines in project meetings.
- Must be a team player and be able to work independently on challenging projects that may have tight timelines.
- Proficient in Telecoms, Controls, ELV ICT design and commissioning systems in accordance to local and international standards.
- Proficient in Data Centre technologies and design criteria calculations.
- Excellent understanding of South African National Standards (SANS). (Global ANSI/EIA/TIA ISO standards specifically pertaining to Data Centers will be advantageous).
- Design, based on client requirements and specifications Specialist equipment specifications understanding and approvals
- Proficient in various modeling software and BIM conversant is essential (AutoCAD, Revit, ACC, etc)
- Project scoping and scope monitoring
- Multiple Contractor and contract management (ICT, ELV CI discipline)
- Fundamental understanding of ICT Electronic systems.
- A sound understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Project is essential
- Must be fluent in English with an excellent understanding of technical terminology.
- Valid passport
- Applicants need to be able to demonstrate good management and technical skills
Desired Skills
- Excellent working knowledge of South African National Standards (SANS), NBC, BS, NFPA and other local codes and good working knowledge of ZA codes would be advantageous.
- Cisco/ Industry accredited Certification is a plus although not required (CCDA/ CCNA CCDP/ CCEnt/ BICSI)
