About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Android Tester with 3 to 6 years of experience in testing Android applications, specifically infotainment systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Android testing, with experience in testing infotainment systems, including navigation, entertainment, and connectivity features.
What You Will Do
1. Infotainment System Testing: Test infotainment systems, including navigation, entertainment, and connectivity features.
2. Android Application Testing: Test Android applications, including those related to infotainment, such as music, maps, and voice assistants.
3. Functional and Non-Functional Testing: Perform functional and non-functional testing, including performance, security, and usability testing.
4. Test Case Development: Develop and execute test cases, including manual and automated testing.

Our team is responsible for building the Celonis' **end-to-end Task Mining product** . Task Mining is the technology that allows businesses to capture user interaction (desktop) data, so they can analyze how people get work done, and how they can do it even better. We own all the related components, e.g. the desktop client, the related backend services, the data processing capabilities, and Studio frontend applications.
**The Role:**
As a Staff Quality Engineer, you have a keen understanding of what it takes to deliver a high quality product as well as strengths in the area of automation coding and delivery. You are responsible for the overall effort to ensure that all innovations from our development team will be implemented in the right way in our Task Mining Client software (desktop application), including the creation and monitoring of automated tests. You are not bothered by getting your hands dirty with manual testing, but you are bothered enough by repetitive tasks to think creatively about how to not have to repeat them again. You believe in doing the job well but you also understand the balance between elegant solutions, time to market, and product quality. In this role you support our core developers by ensuring a high quality of our Celonis platform. On the other side, you are the link between development and product management. + Own responsibility for one or more complex areas of testing.
+ Drive robust and high quality test coverage with minimal overlap in the team, ensuring definition of done includes minimal but sufficient automation and recognize the level of automation necessary to reach the goals.
+ Research, recommend and implement tools and processes as needed with the goal of increasing automation and test coverage
+ Collaborate across the QA Chapter, mentoring other team members and contributing to efforts to improve overall process and quality.
+ Live by data not opinions, ensuring your agile team consistently meets auditability goals and that your team KPIs reflect the truth of overall quality status.
+ Serve in a capacity as a test coach to developers; reviewing unit tests and suggesting methods for better coverage.
**The qualifications you need:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
+ 8+ years of professional experience as QA engineer, and experience delivering robust test automation in Cypress/Selenium/Playwright or similar tools.
+ Proficient in C#
+ Java and/or SQL knowledge is a plus.
+ Passion for clean and understandable code.
+ Deep knowledge of test automation and best QA practices.
+ **Experience in writing and setting up tests (UI Automation test and end-to-end tests).**
+ Complete understanding and command of API testing.
+ Experience with CI/CD processes.
+ Able to supervise and coach junior colleagues.
+ Strong communication skills.
+ Experience with bug tracking and test repository software.
+ Experience with minimizing duplication of testing layers.
