About headspace Box Hill
headspace Box Hill opened in late December 2023, and this is your opportunity to be involved in a newly established headspace centre and an innovative youth mental health program that is making a real difference in the community. headspace offers a 'one stop shop' for young people aged 12-25 and their families who may be experiencing mental health difficulties. It provides an opportunity for young people to receive help early and promotes a 'no wrong door' approach to supporting young people.
headspace works from an early intervention and prevention framework with young people and their families who have emerging mental health issues. We deliver four core services which include general health, mental health support, vocational services, and alcohol and other drug services. Private practitioners are a key component of the mental health services provided within our centres.
What we offer
• Brand new centre conveniently located in central Box Hill complete with 10 fully serviced consultation rooms including PC, printer, telephone and counselling resources.
• No fee charges for room or reception, therefore you receive 100% of the Medicare billing.
• Flexible hours – you determine and manage your own hours and client caseload.
• Our experienced and supportive Intake & Assessment team will screen referrals based on the young person's clinical needs and schedule first appointments into your schedule.
• Complete administrative support to book and case-manage clients outside of the therapeutic space including scheduling appointments, text reminders and all client follow up administration.
• The opportunity to work as part of a supportive and passionate multi-disciplinary team including Social Workers, Counsellors, Adolescent Health Nurse, and Peer Workers for case-conferencing & clinical review meetings and seamless referrals.
• You receive referrals from the headspace team, and we will provide full, comprehensive administration support and case management.
• Regular training and professional development offered through headspace National on a range of different topics including trauma, DBT, ACT, neurodiversity, LGBTQIA+, and family violence.
• Clinical support including regular clinical supervision both individual and group, daily clinical support and guidance from our Clinical Lead, regular peer supervision and regular complex clinical review/consultation with a team of experienced psychologists, social workers, nurses, and other specialised disciplines.
What we need from you
• Relevant qualifications and registration (AHPRA or AASW)

• An Australian Business Number (ABN)
• Personal Professional Indemnity Insurance
• Available at least 1-2 days per week.

A range of on-site complementary services are available should additional supports be required.
