Key Responsibilities
- Specialize in the design and detailing of Progressive Press Tools using ViSi, AutoCAD, CATIA V5, UG NX.
- Lead Trim line and progressive tool development including strip layout creation for new components.
- Interpret part drawings to conceptualize and design strip layouts considering blanking, piercing, forming, and cutting stages.
- Coordinate all aspects of tool development including design feasibility, tooling design, simulation, manufacturing, and validation.
- Optimize strip layout for material utilization, tool life, and manufacturability.
- Develop detailed 2D/3D models, engineering drawings, BOMs, and design documentation.
