The Impact You’ll Make

Ensures legal compliance and provides import/export administration and control within government rules and regulations, including appropriate licensing for shipments. Reviews contracts for required clauses and identifies omissions. Interfaces with internal and external customers, foreign order administration, freight forwarders, customs officers and other functional areas to ensure coordination and logistics of shipment. Selects carrier/forwarder for shipment of products and prepares documents for freight forwarders.

Who We’re Looking For

  • US Export compliance and AES auditing
  • Responsibilities include review of parts specifications, bills of materials(BOM), descriptions, and external web sites to categorize Lam Materials into categories that have been previously defined by Foreign Trade. These categories correspond to tariff classifications in countries where Lam does business
  • Reviewing individual parts & Harmonized Tariff Schedule(HTS) classification for different kind of Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics items (semiconductor Industry)
  • Designating a category to each respective part,
  • Engaging Foreign Trade on periodic review to align on categorizations, and
  • Alerting Foreign Trade of parts that do not conform to any existing designations
  • Foreign Trade will provide initial instruction on job expectations and ongoing feedback on how to interpret the categories for which Lam Materials will be assigned.
  • Import/Export Customs entry audit for all regions(US, Europe, Asia)
  • Knowledge on US Government regulations on all aspects of International Import/Export Trade
  • Knowledge on Free Trade Agreement and validate eligibilities (KORUS, NAFTA etc)
  • Knowledge on US FTZ (Free Trade Zone) & Malaysia LMW process(Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse)

    Years of Experience: Minimum 12 years of Experience

    Job Experience : working Experience in HTS/ECCN Product Classification, GTS release, sanctioned party screening, Export/Import Auditing and global Trade compliance

    The Role

    As part of the Trade Operations Group, you will be responsible for providing end-to-end post-trade operational support for a group of assigned clients. This will include handling the trade settlement, collateral and client reporting for a group of trading desks, portfolio managers and clients. You will be a primary point of contact in supporting all day-to-day post-trade operations for assigned clients. 

    You will be enhancing the efficiency and reliability of our Middle and Back Office operations through automation and systemization. You will be involved in designing and building scalable solutions for trade lifecycle processes as well as assisting with data management strategy. You will also be involved in supporting the day-to-day trading operations for our clients.

    You will:

  • Perform root cause analysis on current infrastructure design weaknesses and provide feedback on future state design.
  • Work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to help design and deploy a data operating model across the front, middle and back offices.
  • Identify, perform analysis, and resolve trade and settlement breaks.
  • Oversee high level account balances and margin requirements; execute transfers to meet margin requirements.
  • Work directly with counterparties, custodians, banks and other interested parties to ensure all actions on behalf of the client are resolved and reconciled in a timely manner.
  • Produce and distribute reporting to clients and third-party service providers.
  • Collaborate with other areas of support including Governance & Risk Management, Portfolio Management, Capital Markets and Trading, Actuarial, Trading Technology and Legal/Compliance

  • Job Knowledge Required

  • 4-7 years of experience in treasury, trade, or investment operations

    Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech? Vishay Pune, India is currently seeking applicants for a Global Trade Compliance Analyst.


    What you will be doing:

    • Support the Divisions through the coordination of requests for Export Control information to include Export Classifications, HS (Harmonized System) codes, Country of Origin, and % Controlled Content determinations between CTC and Divisions/Expert Networks.
    • Develop and manage processes for the coordination of requests as described above.
    • Monitor and provide status updates for the above.
    • Collaborate with Logistics Trade Compliance (LTC) on classification and Material Master items as necessary.
    • Support Logistics Trade Compliance regionally.
    • Work with Restricted Party Screening (RPS) application to review potential matches with relevant Restricted Party Lists.
    • Get final decision from Corporate Trade Compliance (CTC) on the result of their reviews.
    • Once matches are confirmed by CIC and related parties (Sales, Procurement Finance); identify Orders attested
    • and coordinate relevant order block-end shipments. Perform individual RPS -- Screenings upon request.
    • Obtain data elements, specification documents, or material information from the divisions to ensure proper
    • classification of items (eventually, once trained and more mature in the role.)
    • Support various stages of audits and assessments, both Internal/External as related to applicable Records Management and Document Collection.
    • Provide status, reports and metrics pertaining to applicable Records Management, and assist with Internal training sessions related to Records Management.
    • Eventually, assist Divisions with HTS code determinations.


    What will you bring along:

    • Strong expertise in SAP GTS, HTS/ECCN classification, FTA management, export controls and customs compliance.
    • 4+ years of experience in years specializing in Global Trade
    • Proven track record of leading compliance operations, working with cross-functional teams, and driving process improvement in high-volume, multinational environments.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
