As a Handholding Specialist / Trainer, you will play a pivotal role in building safety competencies and ensuring effective on-ground implementation of SEED interventions. This includes direct engagement with contract workforce, IOCL employees, and SEED Ambassadors, delivering experiential learning, conducting field interventions, and driving continuous improvement across sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver competency-building workshops for contract workforce, truck crew, security guards, and staff (often in regional languages).
- Facilitate experiential learning programs and orientation training for new joiners.
- Provide on-site handholding and support to SEED Ambassadors and intervention officers.
- Execute and review field safety interventions, JSAs, and WOPAR observations.
- Collect and verify intervention data, dashboard reports, and conduct dipstick surveys.
- Provide feedback, guidance, and advisory support on safety SOPs, hazard identification, and compliance.
- Monitor performance, participate in review meetings, and share best practices across locations.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives and resolve site-specific challenges.
What We're Looking For
- A passionate trainer with minimum 7 years of experience in safety training/implementation.
- Strong background in safety management systems and on-ground intervention support.
- Skilled communicator with ability to engage diverse workforce in regional languages.

LEAP in the IIT-Madras Research Park provides industry-oriented Product Driven Learning to STEM institutes by focused programs from 1st to final year of B Tech/BSc/BCA/MSc/MCA. LEAP is founded by IIT professors and industry veterans, with seed funding from the Maker Bhavan Foundation, USA.
In 1st year, LEAP students work in teams to improve existing products. In 2nd year, teams design and build a working prototype to solve a problem of society.
