Location: Ahmedabad (Onsite)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM (8 hours fixed)

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Evaluator who will assess and maintain quality standards across top creative professionals in the Writing and Translation categories.


This role is ideal for someone who enjoys analyzing written content, understands the nuances of storytelling, clarity, and tone, and can differentiate between good and exceptional writing.

You will review and evaluate a wide range of talent working across categories such as content writing, book and eBook publishing, business copywriting, career writing, technical writing, and translation services . Your evaluations will directly influence the level of talent available to global clients and ensure that every approved professional meets high standards of creativity and communication.


What You’ll Do

Evaluate and Gatekeep: Review applications, portfolios, and work samples. Approve, hold, or reject professionals based on clear rubrics while maintaining documentation and monitoring post-approval performance.

Maintain Standards: Develop and refine category playbooks and quality rubrics. Stay updated on trends, tools, and best practices in writing and translation to maintain industry excellence.

Match and Curate Talent: Help connect vetted professionals with suitable opportunities. Curate lists for campaigns and high-value projects based on category needs.

Drive Improvement: Lead quality-enhancement projects, optimize workflows, and create documentation of both best practices and common pitfalls for internal reference.

  • Understand client goals and provide consultative solutions to improve localisation outcomes.
  • Manage regular status updates, reporting, and post-project reviews.

Team & Vendor Coordination

  • Coordinate internal teams (linguists, engineers, QA, DTP) and external vendors/freelancers for seamless project execution.
  • Manage resource allocation, negotiate vendor rates, and ensure compliance with company standards and client expectations.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and mentoring of project managers and linguists.

Process Improvement & Quality Assurance

  • Identify opportunities to improve project workflows, automation, and efficiency.
  • Implement localisation best practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Contribute to the development of new tools, technologies, and methodologies in project delivery.


Required Qualifications


  • Bachelors degree in Translation, Linguistics, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 13+ years of experience managing translation/localisation projects in a language services company or similar environment.
  • Strong understanding of translation workflows, CAT tools (e.g., memo, SDL Trados, XTM, Smarting ), and QA processes.
  • Proven experience handling large-scale, multi-language projects with global clients.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and client management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello ).


Preferred Skills

  • Experience working with localisation engineering and file preparation processes.
  • Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., ISO 17100 ) and localisation best practices.
  • PMP or Prince2 certification (or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Experience in specific content domains such as legal, medical, technical, or marketing localisation is an advantage.

Translation Services seeks a passionate Software Development Engineer to drive innovations in translation to reach every Amazon customer in their own language.
Key job responsibilities
Are you passionate about creating high-performance, large-scale language translation services to support Amazon's current and future growth? Do you thrive in environments where you can lead innovation? If so, we're seeking a software engineer to join the Translation Services (TS) team.
TS provides technology solutions and services that deliver quality translations at the lowest possible cost for Amazon businesses. As a Software Development Engineer, you'll help drive efforts to build translations solutions at Amazon scale with 100% translations coverage, eventually making translations a no-op for developers so that they can focus on business logic and application building.
We're seeking a self-starting individual comfortable with ambiguity, possessing strong attention to detail, and dedicated to ensuring that secondary language experiences match the excellence of primary language experiences, even at Amazon's vast scale.

Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
