Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Fleet Manager to oversee and optimize their transportation operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient, safe, and cost-effective management of a diverse fleet of vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of logistics and transportation management, and a proven ability to manage fleet maintenance, driver schedules, and regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall fleet performance. Strong analytical skills are required to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), identify trends, and implement data-driven improvements. Collaboration with various internal departments and external service providers will be a key aspect of this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the regional fleet, ensuring efficiency and adherence to schedules.
  • Manage all aspects of fleet maintenance, including preventative maintenance programs and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, safety standards, and licensing requirements.
  • Develop and implement strategies for cost reduction in areas such as fuel consumption, maintenance, and insurance.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of drivers and fleet support staff.
  • Monitor driver performance and implement performance improvement initiatives.
  • Utilize fleet management software to track vehicle location, performance, and maintenance needs.

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repair, and regulatory compliance.

+ Prepare and manage annual OPEX and CAPEX budgets for the facility; ensure effective cost forecasting, variance tracking, and reporting.
+ Monitor expenses and drive cost optimization through better vendor negotiations, process automation, and energy-saving initiatives.
+ Oversee purchase orders, invoices, payments, and reconciliation for all facility-related expenditures.
