**What We Provide**:
We are seeking an Urban Designer with a keen interest in Architecture and Cities. The Urban Designer shall be interested in the production of creative and original designs involving creative design thinking with implementable solutions. This designer will be involved in projects encompassing urban redevelopment, transit orientated development, campus planning, large scale mixed use and design of public realm. This involves both plans and buildings and one who can “breach the divide”. We seek someone who is able to work with design and planning teams, consultants and clients exhibiting entrepreneurial skills.
**Primary Responsibilities**:
- Prepare and deliver presentations for public, private and institutional sector clients.
- Advance designs for large-scale urban projects using 3D modeling and digital presentation, urban design diagramming, GIS based analytical analysis.
- Prepare and participate in stakeholder meetings.
- Prepare final reports including first draft of text and layout in Adobe InDesign. Responsible for primarily conceptual, and schematic design.
- Collaborate within multidisciplinary, multi-consultant design and planning teams.
- Responsible for writing proposals for public RFPs.
- Ability to travel off site and flexibility with changing priorities.
- Develop, check and coordinate technical aspects of the design of a project.
**Required Qualifications**:
- Bachelor or Master degree in Architecture is required. Degree in Urban Design a plus.
- Minimum of 6 to 8 years’ experience in the profession.
- preferred.
- Experience in campus design, large scale urban and mixed-use projects.
- Experience in development guidelines, infrastructure planning and zoning analysis.
- Must have high quality 3D rendering.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong digital and hand graphic/diagraming to help present and explain complex stories.
- Verbal communication and ability to write narrative text.
- Proficient with computer-assisted design software such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, required such as (Photoshop, Illustrator, In-design); 3D software such as Sketchup. Revit, Rhino or Grasshopper a plus.
