Roles and Responsibilities
Job Responsibility-Performance/Range/Environmental Testing Engineer:
Key deliverable:
1) DVP preparation of all aggregates on vehicle level performance
2) Knowledge on Vehicle level performances & range tests.
3) Develop and implement testing procedures to ensure the performance includes Testing procedures, plans & schedule to meet the project requirements.
4) Closely work with other departments like each engineering design team for the failures reporting and corrective action.
5) Test vehicles preparation as per testing procedure with respect to design specification/standard requirement.
6) Knowledge on Pre-Homologation test requirement & testing
7) Test plan execution on Test tracks at various location (GARC- Chennai, VRDE – Ahmednagar, NATRAX-Indore etc
8) Data acquisition & Analyse test results to identify issues and areas for improvement. Collaborate with engineering teams to develop solutions to problems and make recommendations for improvements to vehicle design and performance
9) Ensure that all testing activities comply with relevant regulations and standards.
) Report preparation.

Durability/Reliability Test engineer:
1) DVP preparation of all aggregates on vehicle level for various terrains
2) Knowledge on predicting the life of components
3) Knowledge on ON road durability
4) Knowledge on Structural & Accelerated durability
5) Closely work with other departments like each engineering design team for the failures reporting and corrective action.
6) Ability to provide the solutions for the failures observed.
7) Test plan execution at different routes (Terrains like, City, Highway, Hill & Rough road etc)
8) Data acquisition and duty cycle analysis
9) Highlighting the issues to respective design teams during testing
) Performance deterioration to be monitored over a period of time.
) Tear down and weight benchmarking.

- Powertrain & System Integration:
- Lead testing of HV & LV systems, including powertrain, BMS, and motor controller integration.
- Pre-Homologation & Certification:
- Plan, execute, and support homologation testing (ARAI/VRDE); ensure regulatory compliance.
- Data Acquisition & Analysis:

- Feature Verification & FOTA:
- Support benchmarking, integration testing, FOTA (Firmware Over-The-Air) updates, and issue resolution for new product features.
- Test Coordination:
- Draft SOWs and SORs; collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline testing workflows and resolve issues efficiently.
- Equipment Management:
- Ensure calibration and maintenance of test tools, instruments, and setups per industry standards.
- Data Logging & Testing Tools: VBOX Racelogic, INFLUX Rexgen, Vector CANoe, CAN Loggers
- EV Systems Knowledge: Powertrain, HV/LV architecture, BMS
