The Engineer will be responsible for delivering on projects related to ventilation system of Diesel Electric & Battery Electric locomotives and selecting system components including blowers, bellows, filters, ducting etc. Establishing air flow, thermal and mechanical requirements for the ventilation system and interfacing with suppliers for respective development. Conduct air flow, thermal and mechanical analysis of the ventilation system with support from other team members. Conduct tests on locomotives at manufacturing plant, supplier / customer location. Shall also be required to take the design through design review process and own release of drawings to support manufacturing, support shop issues, supplier issues and field issues related to ventilation system and components.
