Position Overview: Vice President – Finance
The VP – Finance will lead the company's finance functions, overseeing Accounts, Treasury, Taxation, Payroll, Project & Corporate Finance. Key responsibilities include capital raising (debt, equity, mezzanine), IPO readiness, M&A, and strategic financial planning for renewable energy and infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Finance & Fundraising: Lead project finance for renewable energy (Solar, Wind, BESS) and infrastructure; manage funding strategies, negotiate financing agreements, and build relationships with banks, DFIs, and capital markets. Oversee IPO processes and M&A activities.
- Financial Planning & Governance: Develop financial models, forecasts, and maintain aligned capital structures. Oversee MIS, investor relations, and ensure compliance with governance standards.
- Treasury, Accounts, Taxation & Payroll: Manage cash flows, hedging, forex, taxation (Income Tax, GST, Transfer Pricing), statutory accounts, audits, and payroll operations.
- Risk, Compliance & Controls: Implement internal controls, conduct risk assessments, ensure covenant compliance, and drive digitization of finance functions.
- Leadership: Lead and mentor a 15+ member finance team; coordinate with Business Development, Legal, Procurement, and Operations; establish SOPs and ensure transparency and fraud prevention.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Chartered Accountant / MBA (Finance) / CFA; LLB advantageous
- 18–25 years in finance leadership, preferably in Renewable Energy, Infrastructure, or EPC sectors
- Proven track record in raising large-scale debt (₹1,000+ Cr), IPO readiness, and capital markets
- Hands-on experience with SAP/digitization and managing large teams
Key Competencies:
