Position Summary
The Vice President – Finance will lead the financial strategy and operations of the company, ensuring fiscal discipline, compliance, business insight, and long-term financial health. Strong in fund raising activities, The role demands both strategic vision and hands-on execution to support a fast-growing retail & services enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Financial Leadership
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Lead long-term financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
- Provide strategic input on growth opportunities, expansions, and new store launches.
2. Accounting & Compliance
- Oversee all accounting functions including general ledger, AR/AP, and inventory accounting.
- Ensure compliance with statutory laws, tax regulations (GST, TDS, Income Tax), and audit requirements.
- Drive timely and accurate financial reporting as per Ind AS.
3. Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Manage working capital efficiently – monitor receivables, payables, and inventory cycles.
- Ensure optimal fund utilization and maintain healthy cash flows.
- Liaise with banks and financial institutions for credit limits, loans, and treasury operations.
4. Business Analysis & MIS
- Provide actionable insights through financial MIS, variance analysis, and dashboard reporting. Monthly and unit wise P/L
- Provide store-level and product-level profitability.
- Support data-driven decision-making across departments.
5. Internal Controls & Risk Management
- Strengthen internal controls across finance, procurement, and retail operations.
- Conduct periodic risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure a robust internal audit mechanism.
6. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to improve performance and accountability.
- Collaborate with operations, merchandising, supply chain, and HR for integrated financial planning.
- Act as a key business partner to the MD/CEO and other department heads.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of retail finance including inventory, pricing, margins, and shrinkage.
- Analytical mindset with experience in financial modelling and scenario planning.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (ZOHO books, CRM, Tally Prime). Zoho book implementation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA (Finance) from a reputed institute.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Prior experience in the retail, FMCG, or consumer-facing industry is preferred.

Responsibilities
Lead and manage day to day operations delivery, drive governance & change management with client in collaboration with all enabling teams – Transitions, Transformation, People
Ensure period end close activitiespertaining to AP, AR and RTR are performed according to agreed close schedules and that accounting policies are in compliance with GAAP and stated company norms
Lead new transition and work on all project deliverables as per defined tollgates
Work closely with other Accounts Departments to understand business transactions and ensure they are processed and accounted for appropriately and accurately
Ensure process governance including reporting and analysis to key stakeholders – communicate on a regular basis to discuss operational issues and key metrics
Review and analyses the team’s output for appropriate accounting treatment, completeness and accuracy related to general accounting, Reporting, Narratives

Post-qualification experience
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of accounting principles, systems and procedures
Skills Required
Experience in leading a multi-tower F&A engagement that includes RTR, OTC, AP, Taxes and Payroll
Experience in Microsoft Dynamics or at least experience in transitioning to a new ERP (could be SAP, PeopleSoft etc.)
Prior experience in leading a new transition would be preferred
Experience of handling F&A Tools (e.g. Blackline, ServiceNow, Billing system, AP Modules etc.)
Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills
Expert capability in generating meaningful insights from large and disparate data sources
Ability to clearly communicate ideas and analytics concepts
Experience using Business Intelligence tools such as (PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik)
Proficiency in MS Office suite
Impeccable client management skills
Good analytical and problem solving skills and ability to handle team and client discussions.
Prior exposure to complex work environment
Excellent People Management skills
