Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of resources and materials to aid volunteers in their roles.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, empathy, and continuous learning within the volunteer team.
  • Assist in the recruitment of new volunteers for community support roles.
  • Report on team performance, challenges, and successes to the management team.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a leadership role within the non-profit sector, social services, or community support.
  • Proven experience in volunteer management, training, and team leadership.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and mentor volunteers effectively.
  • Strong understanding of community needs and social support systems.
  • Proficiency in record-keeping and using digital tools for communication and coordination.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage responsibilities efficiently in a remote setting.
  • Empathy, resilience, and a strong commitment to social justice and community welfare.
  • Experience in crisis intervention or de-escalation techniques is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with mental health first aid or similar training programs is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
