**Principal responsibilities**
+ The Incumbent will utilize their experience of managing large teams (covering multiple functions, regions and products) in 3 key areas :
+ Manage the service delivery for the business service across the multiple processes from GCC Bangalore.
+ Migration support (i.e. assisting in the successful migration of new processes into the GCC);
+ Manage the overall Risk and Compliance framework for the business service from the GCC.
+ Focus on continuous improvement and transformation initiatives.
+ Key functional areas include client services, treasury operations, payments, securities and funds settlements and corporate actions. The VP Operations will be responsible for managing key relationships with the GPB onshore network, helping to build firm relationships and lines of communication between the on and offshore teams promoting high levels of client service and stakeholder management.
+ The role holder will also work with local management to establish a robust Operational and Risk Management infrastructure, enabling GPB to implement and expand its offshore operation quickly and effectively, and in a controlled manner. Recruitment and team development will also be a key area of focus, to create a culture and environment in which to achieve maximum operational efficiency through the implementation of excellent training and quality management techniques.
**Qualifications**
+ The nature of the role requires highly motivated individuals with excellent communication skills to work with colleagues across GPB in different locations and cultures.
+ Experience in a large international bank - with specific exposure in managing Wealth & Private Bank Operations and/or managing Investment Operations, is a must.
+ Strong domain knowledge in the investment operations space (Eg. Settlements, Corporate Actions, Derivatives, etc.) is a must.
+ Strong exposure to Risk Management is a must.
+ The Incumbent will need to be adaptable and self-aware, with a focus on building effective relationships.
+ Ability to work in a high-pressure, productivity-based environment where deadlines are critical & ability to multi-task.
+ Strong people management and leadership skills are essential for this role. Experience in managing large teams in a matrix environment
+ Knowledge of transformation tools would be an added advantage. Additional certifications like CISI, CFA, etc. preferable
